#BahamutLagoon was out 29 Years Ago (1996) for #SNES in Japan! 🐉 This #TRPG was part of #Square's beautifully polished late Super Famicom releases. It only released in Japan, but a number of notable talents got together for this fan translation.
Mighty Final Fight (1993) is a beat 'em up by Capcom for the NES with RPG-like levels. A spinoff of Capcom's famous arcade hit, 1989's Final Fight, players take control of chibi versions of three fighters as they hit the streets of Metro City to rescue the mayor's daughter! (a Cabbage Patch thread)

Design mock-up for the ill-fated SNES CD-ROM addon that never made it to market. Here it's presented as the Nintendo SUPERDISC CD-ROM System. A logo with adorns the top left with "SUPER DISC" in a thick 90s lettering and "CD-ROM SYSTEM" in a thinner font underneath with a rainbow barline inbetween them. Below the logo is a tagline written in yellow, saying "Give your system extra power for the ultimate 16-Bit machine! Below that is a radical 90s graphic advertising a demo disc included inside. Super Mario All Stars, StarFox and Secret of Mana are showcased with Super Metroid, Final Fantasy III (VI), Mega Man X, Castlevania Dracula X, Mario Paint Expansion Disc and SimCity 2000 are advertised as coming soon. There's also a coupon for five months of Nintendo Power and a SNES cart for free with proof of purchase.
For my design class in college, we had to make packaging for a product that didn't exist. So I thought, "What if Sony and Nintendo actually made the CD add on for the SNES?"
And then it spiraled out of control.
So this already existed back in 95? Wow. I found out about them around 2013 and bought a Nakitek for speedrunning learning and practice. I still have it but used it for the last time like 10 years ago
