I often come back to this design to sketch it because it feels so comforting. I think of sitting in a mortuary office with a warm drink discussing someone passed. When you’re sad, sometimes it’s just nice to know someone’s there with you. I can see myself in this design doing just that.

Personally my favorite media usually touches on topics of grief and death. So although the inspiration is so gloomy the thought of a slime as a grave keeper felt strangely fitting with this outfit. What’s under the coat is simple, long sleeves to keep you warm and jeans.

I love lilies of the valley very much, fun fact though. They are highly poisonous! So the mix of gloomy weather and a toxic plant reminded me of a graveyard atmosphere.It’s also a staple for slimes to wear raincoats because they’re soluble! Too much water would be the end.

I’ll admit I was a little intimidated making a raincoat outfit because it seems like such a staple of slimes in media. Also unpopular opinion but I don’t really enjoy rainy days! But because I don’t enjoy rainy days I think that helped my vision shine through all the more.

Of course I feel like it wouldn’t really be for me if there wasn’t a black version lol. I could definitely mess more with this one because I absolutely love how cute and energetic it looks. After designing so many outfits I def have some notes to come back to it with! #r3dart

So I started with “I want cherries on this!” Then I thought of things I associate cherries with. Like hearts! Because cherries are really good for your heart! (At least they’re good for mine lol) Then I thought of cream going with it and the rest followed. (Here a chibi I never posted) #r3dart

I think what was really important to me was keeping it comfy but fun! I enjoy things I can see my irl self wearing on my sona a lot. The way I think of adding things to it to make it cute is “what does this remind me of?”

To start it’s usually an article of clothing I find eye catching, then I’ll build a vibe around it. I saw someone post this collage on Pinterest and I absolutely fell in love with the head scarf! So with that in mind I went to work

Crouching down, trowel in hand is a character named Sage. Sage has pointed elf-like ears, long green hair with a small sprout growing from the top of their head. The left side of Sage's body is covered in heavy burn scars. Worst being the missing left eye from a house fire incident. All that is left is the empty socket. Wearing a loose cardigan and multi-layered socks, Sage smiles softly at the viewer as they take a pause from planting some new sprouts in the woods. This character DOES NOT belong to me.
