TikTok got banned, yes.

More importantly: the Govt. now has unchecked veto power to shut down ANY app with ANY % foreign interest.

You look foolish. No sense for what TikTok actually was to 170 Million people and no respect for the legislation that just passed under the guise of a new “red scare.”

I would caution any use of a VPN until you’ve read the legislation & understand the penalties. At one point fines were extremely steep ($250,000) with 10 years in prison for using a VPN or otherwise going around the law.

Not sure if that made it into the final bill that was passed, or not.

I feel sadness, anger, & concern.

Many Americans don’t seem to grasp the dangers of the legislation that was just upheld, unanimously, by our joke of a Supreme Court.

I’m spending time focusing on fighting the TikTok ban with my fellow creators on that app. We are doing newsworthy things & holding hope.

The US Govt. isn’t afraid of China. They’re afraid of Americans using the app to awaken to the class warfare against us.

It’s not just teens on TikTok and it’s not just about posting videos. Tons of small businesses make a living. Artists find their audience. People like me advocate for others.

But go on with this “hot take” when it’s clear you have no idea what you’re talking about.
