I DESPISE the word “content”, but when I say that theres always this group of self-described “content-creators” who get really mad about it. To me saying you make “content” is like saying you make slop.

Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.

The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.

I see headlines like this, and can only assume the people writing them see the human spirit as something that needs to be broken. Next you’ll be telling me a forklift can outperform the worlds strongest man at weight lifting, like no shit Sherlock, we don’t need constant reminders.
