Oh and breaking up JD and Elliot again. Bit tired of the "will they won't they" trope. In modern shows like Brooklyn 99 you see that you can have a healthy main couple and still tell good stories. The JD/Elliot drama was done to death and them being healthy together in Season 8 was so refreshing.
Only downside is low casting availability outside of JD, Elliot and Turk. Would've been great to see JD come back and work his way up to Chief with Dr Cox retiring at the end of the season instead. Hoping Dr Cox and Carla get more appearances than the scheduled 3 in later seasons if they happen.
Also fuck those first two episodes were good, feels like they picked up right where they left off from Season 8. Took like 16 years but we finally got a Season 9!!

Do you know what plans there are for a UK or Ireland release? Can't see it on any UK/IE variant of the sites listed. Really keen to support this release but it would be nice to avoid any high shipping fees if possible!
It makes less sense when Jagex offered a legacy colour option for the new interface for years, so players could choose between the Blue or Brown based off preference. Don't see any logic to not allowing a toggle other than to make the game more like OSRS, which is a poor reason to eliminate choice.
Still weighing up if I'll be going to RuneFest this year... Haven't spoken with people I would've gone with in a while and unsure who'd be there. Not having a current social circle ingame doesn't help.
Loved RuneFest before COVID but the idea of going solo definitely raises the anxiety a lil. :/

To summarise:
Definitely enjoyed my playthrough of this game quite a lot regardless of the bumps and hiccups, felt like the real sendoff to the Arkham series. Personally don't have any interest in trying any of the new stuff so glad to have a game that feels like a good ending.

- Hate to say it because I love Mark Hamill but it'd be nice to have SOME form of Batman media that doesn't make the Joker the main villain. Batman has one of the best rogue galleries in comics, let someone else take the centre stage for once.
- I ain't doing all those Riddler challenges to get full Knightfall ending, there's no way Batman can't just destroy Riddler's base once you save Catwoman lmao.
- Ending is undermined by SS:KTJL which is a bummer, technically not a fault of Arkham Knight but something I thought about while playing.
- While controversial I thought it was a brilliant sendoff to the Arkham games, I put so much time into all three games (still need to finish Origins if it counts) and from a story perspective I really enjoyed it.
Cons:
- The fights could have had a bit more focus, less batmobile more boss fights.
Pros:
- Performance is more than fixed, it runs fantastically. I can't imagine I'd have had issues hitting a stable 60fps with my old PC either.
- The game has aged very well despite coming out in 2015. Visuals are stunning, from shading to scenery. Only thing I did upgrade was the texture pack.
Well yes actually! It helps that this game is like a decade old now and I'm running much more recent hardware, but playing the game was an absolute breeze. Managed to chill on my bed with my PC connected to my 4k TV with no issues whatsoever hitting 60fps. Even with a high res texture pack mod!
#6 Batman Arkham Knight
Been a minute since I watched or played something new, shit do get busy! But about a week ago I saw Arkham Knight including DLC for like £7 on steam and decided now was as good a time as any. Surely they'd fixed the performance issues on PC... riiiiiiiiiiight?
