I have some news…
Thank you.
I really miss The Nib, too.

Living in California with dogs means that when you wake up to the bed shaking, you don’t know if it’s an earthquake or just your dog vigorously licking his own bum.
Thanks! With Augenblick?

But do you??!
Yep. My signature has been cut off 😔
Wishing you all a 2025 of free of f*ckery as possible.
Exhaustion
But make it festive
Hello, I’m here!
Top tip - At this time of year, If you shut yourself in a room and yell “DON’T COME IN HERE!” people will think you’re wrapping gifts and will leave you alone. Potentially for hours!
Another year?!
But I JUST did one.
Happy New Year, friends.
Happy Christmas Eve!
Dog bless us, everyone.
Haha!
It’s happening
Again
I wasn’t too worried about ai art - I don’t think it’s good at replicating cartoon styles (yet…) but it CAN steal comic captions. It can’t spell though. And it apparently thinks that people wear open toed converse?

As opposed to my usual 6 days a week plus one day off thinking about how I should be working and not relaxing at all.
I have been working 7 days a week for the past 3 months now. It’s been intense but hoping it’s all worth it in the end (two major projects!)
“Everybody has anxiety these days”.
Yeah, it’s true. Everybody does have anxiety. Everybody always has had anxiety.
Anxiety is a normal emotion.
Not everyone has an anxiety *disorder*. There is a difference.
A person with a red and white striped shirt stands with a back squiggle cloud labeled “anxiety”. On the right of this is the same drawing with red and green lights on the tangled squiggle labeled “festive anxiety”. Not shown is Autumn, hiding under a blanket and eating Nutella right out of the jar.
It’s that time of year that bring this piece by @gemmacorrell.bsky.social to mind.
