Here's the 'big finish' to the 1st movement of my Electric Guitar Concerto (out now on bandcamp!).
I get a bit carried away when playing this & have broke strings a couple of times & once only realised I'd opened a cut up on my finger after I'd finished & saw blood spattered all over the pick guard.

I find it hard to distinguish between instruments that play in a similar range, like guitar & trumpet.
There's a few musicians still on there who I like, so I just like to see if anyone's done anything new. But it got crap on there as soon as that twat took over.
Just tried to open Twitter, just to see what everyone's upto over there, and I get this shit.
All this commercialisation of everything nowadays is bollocks.

I’ve got a new single releasing on June 5th! It’s the first song from my upcoming EP, “Steam & Railways” which is based on Dostoevsky’s “The Idiot.” Spotify pre-save link here in case anyone’s up for it. 😃🙏🏻🎶🤘🏻🌈⭐️❤️

I'm starting to think you don't like him very much.
I watched that last year. I wasn't a fan of them at the time but now I think they're brilliant. Her performance of "Voodoo Dolly" (I think it was that one) is incredible.
Here's the opening of my "Electric Guitar Concerto No. 1 in A minor" (out now on bandcamp!) just to prove it wasn't all made by AI.

Classical music often tells you what key it's in, but they don't do that with pop music for some reason. Aqua's "Barbie Girl in C# minor" has much more gravitas.
I'm a prog fan too. And obviously classical music, & I enjoyed writing in that format, where you can really take your time building each part, rather than trying to get everything done in 3 minutes.
Thanks for listening! It's a lot to expect people to listen to tracks 10-15 minutes long but I tried to keep things as interesting as possible. I'm glad you liked it! 😁

The new release by @matarison.bsky.social is exactly what it says on the box: it's a concerto in 3 movements, but with an electric guitar!
It's very playful, highly dynamic and overall really fun!
Highly, highly recommended!

I always wanted to write an Electric Guitar Concerto but didn't think I knew enough about classical music to be able to do it. Then it occurred to me I know nothing about pop & rock music either, & that never stopped me attempting to write that.
So here it is!

That's a bit unfair. Just because they play exactly the same notes in the exact same rhythm as "Three Girl Rhumba". Probably just coincidence.
Brilliant album!

It's funny no one listens to The Beatles any more. They were once one of the biggest bands in the north of England.
It sure isn't! I rarely get more than a couple of likes on my "humorous" posts.
slightly out of time.
Forsooth!
I am. But I turned 32 in 2004 and I really do think pop music got overproduced and generic about that time.
I thought that part made it obvious that I was joking. But I don't think everyone understands humour. 🤷♂️
The White Albums a good one to have ready because every track is so different you could start playing from anywhere & it would sound great. Maybe disappointing if it started at "Revolution 9" though 😅
Miraculously
I think they tried to write their own stuff. They should have stuck with Carl Perkins. Everyone still loves his music!
