Just out - an account of the use of 'insight' in medicolegal settings to help decisions about involuntary treatment and decision-making capacity. Conclusion: can be useful if done in the right way and contra NICE, insight and capacity are NOT 'distinct concepts'

Funny how Trump has not so far shown interest in a Pulitzer Prize (following JFK). Perhaps he has insight into the total lack of literary value in any of his crass and crude speeches
Does anyone know where I can get this wallpaper? (No, it’s not a cool new visual Illusion)

For example, how many people get lorazepam? And how long till it's given? What other treatments are given?

INA is partnering with the Society of Biological Psychiatry, South Africa for its International conference 2026 and 'Controversies in Neurology (CONy)' meeting, Krakow, 2026.
Note this years CONy Prague, March 2025 - very relevant to neuropsychiatry.

This is an excellent overview of the historical development and current application of the medical model in relation to psychopathology.
Just heard about Tim
Crow’s passing.
A giant of biological psychiatry. Got a bit stuck on the language-laterality-schizophrenia loop but always willing to reach for the big theory.
In this paper, we provide examples of complex cases that require studying the interaction between neuropathological & psychological factors within sociocultural contexts, leading to intricate clinical patterns that demand a multidisciplinary approach to clinical care
Thanks. Tried to convey why neuropsychiatry is so rewarding
Thank you so much
