Chucked in $50. Donβt be a grub, put your money where your mouth is.
This is so damn good and then you squint at the gas in the background to find the hidden bad news but gas' share is falling too π
Ultimately, I don't know that it matters though.
I don't know the fella, but I know some who do. What I'm led to believe about him wrt this kind of criticism of him is that the soup doesn't necessarily give away all of its ingredients.
He has an extremely sophisticated understanding of his audience, and that affects the way he presents topics. π€·ββοΈ
Thanks Toni!
Look, I believe in Tim & what he stands for, so if he tells me this really matters, I turn out my pockets. Let's help the kids take the culpable to court, and hope they win. They have more moral courage than us adults too afraid of losing what comfort we've been able to glean in this messed up world
Of course you did. π
Thanks Chris. π
So I haven't told the story of my business name, and the best friend it was named for properly on here yet.
I don't really know that I can today. I probably should, but to be abundantly clear: Jem would want you to help keep AYCC alive.
She will have our fucking necks if we fail. π
Thanks mate. π
AYCC are the real bloody deal. I just donated, please consider donating too if you can. There aren't a huge number of REAL ONES out there sticking solidly to the task of climate action and fossil phaseout but these amazing ppl are staying strong
Help them!!

It is our responsibility to make sure that it survives for 20 more years to breed a new generation of advocates. It cannot, and will not close.

The cringe didn't need to be stacked on top of the cringe quite so much.
(My position would be very different for a piece that explored people's first month of owning an EV for example. It's these artificial experiments from dropkicks I can't stand.)
I don't disagree with your points, but I object to the article's whole reason for existing. I don't think we need more reflections from incurious fellas who refuse to learn things in this transition.
The maximum possible value in it is the spectacle of a train wreck. Mostly it's just boring.

The org has been struggling for some time, and after losing a major grant ahead of Christmas, it has until the end of the financial year to get back on its feet or it will be done for good.
Basically every aussie climate advocate you like between 25 and 45 benefitted directly from the AYCC.
It is simply fucking unacceptable that @youth4climate.bsky.social (aka the AYCC) might be forced to close for good after 20 years, and I will not be letting this happen.
If I find out a single one of you hasn't given what you are able, I will lose my fucking mind.
The rise in climate pollution from the US is 2025 canceled out the reductions from China, India, Japan, and the EU combined.
I think if the tree was better centred it might risk looking like a giant orange afro. π

I got my mother-in-law to take some new headshots of me tonight, because I feel like my existing ones are starting to not look like me.
She did a good job, but I'm afraid that I really look like the 40-something year old that I am in them.
A sample:
I'm really glad! π
TBC. It's based on a Japanese name, but I think I will probably settle on pronouncing it like the country for the sake of simplicity.
Apparently I got mentioned on Tom Ballard's and Emerald Moon's Serious Danger podcast this week.
I also incorporated, pushed my website onto a proper CMS, did my first bit of paid work (had to make up a rate!), put out my first free report, and had several client meetings.
A good first week.
