After careful consideration, I think I've come to realize that nothing is a sandwich.

You waited until halfway through the eligibility period to announce this anywhere? No mention on Discord or your website??
If I weren't burning through my savings due to extended unemployment, I'd be awful tempted.
I hadn't heard about this, but I love that it exists -- even if only because I was playing my 3DS last month and was worried about what I'd do if the hardware crapped out.
If you find any, let me know. I'm in dire need.
ChatGPT is shedding users fast. Since yesterday alone, estimates suggest more than a million accounts have been deleted and the boycott continues to gain momentum. Incredible work, everyone!
‼️ BREAKING: OpenAI just agreed to the #Pentagon's CORRUPT deal to use AI for killer robots and mass surveillance.
#QuitGPT and SWITCH TO #CLAUDE NOW to support Anthropic's red lines and PUNISH #OpenAI for caving to the Department of War.

AI corp CEOs: "please stop calling AI 'slop'"
Random Amazon product page:
I'm actually quite surprised they didn't do this, esp since they did with DQ I/II HD-2D Remake. I was also sad to see they didn't incorporate the ability to turn off certain abilities from being used by AI-controlled characters, as it was a godsend in I/II.
Even wilder when considering we had positive temperatures just a couple weeks ago.
That article, unfortunately, is most likely heavily assisted by GenAI. It's absolutely filled with LLM-isms.
My favourite part of the experience is receiving the rejection 3-6 months later.
Still playing it these days, on Ephinea!
Disclaimer: I do not know whether the tool is actually malware or not, as I do not have the interest nor time to dig into it to find out. But all of the "CLEAR EVIDENCE" that it is malware is most certainly not.
Now people are being told to format their computers, wipe their entire network's worth of devices, change their passwords, cancel their banking and credit cards, buy fraud protection.
I wish I were exaggerating.
Further, people are suggesting that there is clear evidence than the tool is malware based on being written in C#. Hooboy.
Someone noted that the code is at least partially written by AI, so it is also CLEARLY malware.
... badly written, maybe, but malware? Hmm.
Someone ran the README for the tool through an "AI detector" (which wasn't necessary, it is clearly written by an LLM), and was told by ChatGPT that "the entire project is 100% malware" based on the README being AI-generated.
The irony is entirely lost on them.
Watching the denizens of a particular Sims 4 Reddit community absolutely lose their mind over whether a new piracy tool is safe or not, and their lack of technical knowledge is disturbingly underwhelming.
Did another game jam! This time with some work friends. Check it out here: ryanmiller.itch.io/bark-heroes
BARK HEROES
It saved that one aspect of the game from bringing down my experience of the game as a whole, as I was able to just circumvent the annoyance. This doesn't even touch upon all the ways you can personalize or improve your game experience with mods.
Oftentimes, if there's just some small detail of a game that's annoying to deal with, or a section that's unfun, there's usually a mod or cheat for it. For instance, Tales of Symphonia's casino is probably the most stingy casino that has ever existed in a game... so I just cheated.
One of the more unusual reasons, I think, that I prefer playing games on PC now rather than on console, is that if there are any particularly grindy or vastly enjoyable sections of games now, the capacity to "cheat past it" is so much greater on PC.
And then, the poisonous cherry on top, is going onto LinkedIn to job hunt only to see some well-off schmuck who's a CEO, a realtor, a "visionary", who probably doesn't even know the meaning of the word "struggle", bemoaning the existence of social supports because "people are lazy, entitled".
Something like this would, and will always, be a stressful event, but the looming dread of watching savings chip away while I now could potentially have a much larger, much heavier responsibility on my shoulders is just... so much at once. It's TOO much at once.
I would use it, at this time, to pay my rent, my expenses. Have been unemployed for a year, and now my partner is going through a severe ME/CFS crash, and now that I'm unsure if I'm planning a future or a funeral, the thought of trying to get a job while being a caregiver brings me so much stress.
