Literally so busy right now I didn't notice Starwind UI was featured on the tldr newsletter a few weeks back
Look ma, I'm famous!

When something becomes easy, I get bored of it
Then I go and look for the next challenge
I can't be the only one, can I?
I love it when people submit PRs to Starwind UI
However, there is a 99% chance I will require you to make adjustments before merging. As this is a library used by tons of people, certain standards are required to ensure consistency.
Nothing against you, just use it as an opportunity to improve
Such a cool thing to see others using what you created
Just broke 100 purchasers of Starwind Pro lifetime access
Might not be much for some people, but its incredible to see for me
Been at a hotel for a few weeks now for work
The breakfast omelet lady here knows my order and has it ready as soon as she sees me in the restaurant
Its the small things
Uber is the most fucking annoying app with notifications.
Even with all the marketing and promotion sections disabled, there's way to many.
All I want is one notification that my ride is about here. That's it.
You done lost your privileges.
Perhaps my favorite thing about living in Asia:
The local omelet lady knowing my order, and its <$2
Problem: real user identified as a bot during signup. No indication because that case fails silently
Do you:
1. Change the code to provide an error message to the user in this case
2. Leave it as is, since its meant to catch bots and not let them know they've been caught
Every so often someone purchases Starwind Pro without using the super obvious discount code
In each case, no one has ever asked for a refund or for the discount to be applied after the fact
Don't get me wrong, I like more money. But I just dont understand
Just upgraded the Starwind UI docs site to Astro v6 with literally 0 issues
Nice job Astro team!
Simplifying things for your users is always the answer
I just recently updated the CLI for installing pro components to not prompt users that it will use shadcn (the library is implemented as an authenticated shadcn registry)
Purchases jumped
Removing friction is key
AI implementing accessibility be like <ul role="list">
Why is it so garbage?
Absolutely love implementing features / fixes for my users in under 24 hours
Do you use shadcn components in your Astro projects?
If so, why?
Genuinely curious
Ever created a sweet new component, only to test it in Safari and everything breaks?
Same.
That's why I created a ton of free components for your Astro projects.
Complete with animations, accessibility, and easily customizable.
npx starwind@latest init
Absolutely loved this effect by jh3yy, so I added it as a free block in Starwind Pro
Now you can enjoy it as a native Astro effect and section
Its crazy to me that people will continuously re-invent complex UI components
Waste tons of tokens figuring out why it doesnt work in Safari, or making it accessible
When you can just use pre-made open source components that have already figured this out
Dynamic viewport awareness in action: popovers automatically reposition to remain visible as the window size changes
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, Windsurf...
Developers, what's your go-to AI coding tool right now??
99% of the time, variable fonts are the correct answer.
The other 1%? Rethink your font choices.
If this sounds like you, give Starwind UI a try: npx starwind@latest init
I make shadcn/ui-like components for Astro.
If you build websites with Astro, this helps because now you have native animated and accessible components.
I built this after seeing so many people feel the need to bring React into their Astro projects, boating their JS bundle and slowing their sites.
I hate to tell you this, but if you're using React components in your Astro projects, you're doing it wrong.
Instead, you should be using open source Astro native components.
Why?
Far less JS, patterns you already know from shadcn/ui, and it works perfectly with Astro features.
Starwind UI 🌟
You don't need a $200/mo "agent swarm" setup to build a profitable business.
I love that people are pushing the boundaries of AI loops, but it isn't a requirement for success.
Standard AI coding tools are more than enough to help you ship and make thousands a month.
Absolutely nothing better than waking up to product purchase notifications with this out the window
Too many people talk about AI but ship nothing. What are you shipping me with AI?
Me - I've been hard at work perfecting tons of new blocks for Starwind Pro. Plus adding new docs, a theme designer, and better theme previews
Ha! Perfect
Also, Severance reference?
I'm a simple man. I see a pub and I upvote
Oo first I'm hearing of this, sounds cool. Thanks for sharing
