We have been learning about the Buddhist celebration Vesak. Today we created posters with lots of interesting facts that we researched about the celebration!

We completed our first Languages Week task yesterday by creating our own ‘Language Portraits’🇫🇷🇪🇸

We included things like countries we had visited, languages we want to learn as well as some things that are special to us! 🎨🖌️

This afternoon we presented timelines on famous Scots of our choice, complete with some fantastic PowerPoints and Canva designs to support our talks!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Inspired by the work of Andy Scott, we created our own ‘Under the Surface’ designs using our imagination. So impressed with the creativity in P5P! 🎨✍️

This morning we started learning ‘The Coming o The Wee Malkies’ for our Scots Poetry Competition.
We all have a paper copy home with us to practise with as well as a digital copy on Teams and OneNote.
We will have a poetry recital in class on Thursday.

This week in P5, we have completed 3 Codemas Challenges using Scratch, MicroBit and Code Lab🎄👩‍💻
We really enjoyed getting to play each others coded festive song guessing game!

We have been learning about camouflage as part of our Rainforest topic. We each had a go at trying to hide a butterfly around the classroom using by blending it in with its background. Here was a few of the ones we found tricky to find! 🙈🌲🦋

We started our new reading books this week. Today we practised reading them with expression with a friend📚📖

Today we were learning to say different colours in French. We had lots of fun playing Bingo to practise what we learned. Ask us to teach you a colour or two at home! 🇫🇷

Today for Children in Need we are wearing ‘Something that makes us smile.’ We are really looking forward to Beanie’s Got Talent this afternoon! 🤩🤩

This week is Anti-Bullying Week! Today we became Anti-Bullying Agents by completing a series of digital challenges on our iPads.

We have been learning about nets of 3D shapes. Today in maths, we worked with a partner to build 3D shapes of our choice from their nets!

Yesterday, we chose a rainforest animal of our choice to research and create a fact file on. Some of us chose to create posters, whilst others made digital presentations to share with the class!
