It's a screen capture the upper left on a Mac OS of FileMaker and in the file menu you can see a little bit of difference in the it's a pill and then it shows the file menu which is It's just not attractive, I don't think. Well, it's just an opinion, but it's just a screenshot of the file menu with that weird It's a weird pill, light gray on a little darker gray background.

Not a fan of the look of either macOS 26 or is it FileMaker? I can't tell but I'll be glad when this design passes. Severely rounded corners (this *is* 26). and even when you click the file menu, it looks like a lighter gray pill when selected.

No "arms" to bother me. My new custom designed stand works! I didn't like the two arms that rose up from the bottom of my Macbook and bothered my wrist while typing. Just have a look.

It's a screen shot of Claude helping me write an app locally on my Macbook. Just the start but it worked in-the-end.

I've seen the furture and it's now. I was going to d/l an iOS app to get the angle of my laptop to make a stand & thought... I'll ask AI to write a simple app for me right on the Macbook to read the angle(if it even can and it can). Done. It reported 21.3°

Openclaw update... had to shut it down and refresh the machine (iMac) as it had a lot of errors everywhere. I think it's because I was doing something between self-updates (Openclaw). Now that the iMac is clean again. I'll try to install it again.

Cloud Code reporting to me that it can't read BMP files, and it's going to convert them to PNG. I thought it was funny.

So interesting. I'm working to convert an old code base to FileMaker. The old code has BMP files, remember them? Yeah, I forgot too. Well, Claude Code can't read them either. It says it will convert some to PNG to have a look. ha ha

And how are the actual results? Me thinking, even if it's a lot, if it's local and 'free' maybe ok to use?

Yes, I'm sure Apple will fix those issue and yes, I'll sell my stand for it as by then it will be a fine device. #XDR

Returned the XDR. Froze my computer twice, forced another restart on its own. Super slow to wake being the last of the two connected to my iMac M4. Further, don't need HDR or 120htz. Lastly, it was making me want to spend $ on an M5—just bought my Air M4 4 mths prior. I put stickers on it! NO.

My fellow FileMaker devs. Claude Cowork is kinda brilliant. I needed to find where a recurring error is across all layouts (388 of them). Did a DDR for layouts and pointed it to it. It did it in seconds. Now I have an easy to locate list to checkoff. Oh, and used Sonnet 4.6 as it was easy I thought.

I bought this to make sure that I could make a stand that would hold and support the new Apple studio display XDR. it is different than the standard one. It’s a little deeper. It’s two or 4 pounds heavier. I did I know if it had the correct geometry for the VESA support. It does.

I took a picture because even before I got it out of the box I wanted the fit of my stand that I make for the old studio display and see if it fits the new XDR variant of the Apple Studio Display. I left in the box, but I flipped it over and expose where the power cable is unraveled the power cable that exposed the amount where I could test it because otherwise I was gonna Send it back.

So exciting! Still in-the-box test fit of my stand. It works! Apple Studio XDR. Next, on the desk…

This is a photo of my standalone computer running OpenClaw and it sent 9k in tokens or 9,000 tokens. And I needed to know in my head how many words that was. And it cost 8 cents USD. So just trying to do some simple math. This was the first request that I made of it right out of the gate with no setup other than in asking what it wanted to be referred to as and what it wanted to refer to me as.

Openclaw update. It would seem Openclaw is very chatty via API to AI providers out-of-the-box. 6,750 words? When all I did was share greeting names? WTF. I will continue to monitor this strange new species. 8¢ USD. When is that Anthropic IPO? Spock out.
