But I've only ever flown on planes without assigned seating. Your strategy is big brain for me if I didn't have carry-on and had an assigned seat ahead of time. Because being cramped in there IS balls lol. My anxiety about space and getting situated is brutaaal

I only travel with carry on if I can help it. If I board later there is a very significant chance that all carry-on space will be full and I will be forced by a flight attendant to last-second check my backpack (that I know will fit under a seat) before I can step on the plane. This has happened lol

A friend sent me here (I'm a woodwind tech). A student Yamaha is great if you want to buy new. They're consistent in quality, especially compared to other new student stuff. They are very serviceable and parts are readily available. Any of the really cheap stuff is a nightmare. Don't be tempted! lol
