Les études supérieures sont déjà difficiles, si les étudiants coulent prier, laissez-les prier.
University is tough enough as is. If the students want to pray, let them. It doesn't hurt anyone.

So the power that be decided to cancel #StarfleetAcademy. I'm obviously disappointed bc I think the series creators reached their goal to make YA #StarTrek. And as far as first seasons go in Star Trek, it's a really strong one.
Anyway, if you think the show deserves more: c.org/dYx7kVfcFW
Listening to a France-based podcast on #HeatedRivalry and they play soundbites from the version dubbed in French and 😬😬😬😬 #SubtitlesForTheWin
Alice Augusta Ball found the cure for leprosy at 23.
She died in a mysterious lab accident at 24.
Arthur Dean stole her research, stole it and renamed it from "The Ball Method" to "The Dean Method."
It took 90 years before her original research papers were found and she got the credit due to her.
The cottage is a good example of the 45 minute rule in Seinfeld. You should live 45 minutes away from your parents, if they are further away, they'll stay over. If they are closer, they'll always come over.
Watched #StarfleetAcademy season 1 season finale. It was... on the nose. It was OK probably a 6.5-7/10. Right now based on the whole season the series probably #4 or 5 in my new Trek series ranking, better than Picard, comparable to Discovery, but right now I like Discovery better. That might change

I'm late to the "party" on this but I can't imagine I'm the first to see a parallel between this and Best of Both Worlds and Family. I definitely ugly cried and I'm not sure if this is an episode I'll watch again in the near future. Everyone involved was awesome but special kudos to
Watched #StarfleetAcademy season 1 episodes 6-8. Catching up. That arc was something and I was not ready. Episode 7 was a much-needed breather between two really intense episodes and while episode 6 "went there" with the trauma episode, episode 8 went beyond just facing the aftermath head on.
Nurul Amin Shah Alam crossed oceans to flee unimaginable violence, only to die here — where he should have been safe.
The cruelty is endless.

If I saw this as a 10-year-old (l watched TNG and DS9 at the time so don't @ me about age-appropriateness), it would have been life changing.
Messed up this thread...🙄
Also, MFing Dax???
But also, are we going to talk about Ben and Kassidy's child?
Also, end credits.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Currently watching #StarfleetAcademy s1e5 so #spoilers and Tawny f*ing Newsome is not only a writer on this episode, she's in the episode!!!
Random thoughts, the entire orb thing and OMG, Jake Sisko!!!! But what about his other child???
I love Kyle, hopefully he transfers to the Academy.
Mixing YA and the grand ideas Star Trek brings is not an easy task, until you remember that people like the cadets didn't grow up in a vacuum and the galaxy-size issues will make their way into their lives, and not in a small way.
Finished #StarfleetAcademy s1e4 one day late, trying to avoid spoilers as much as possible but not before getting the feeling this was going to be a memorable episode, and it was. It was excellent, maybe heavy-handed but it definitely shows how this show can work. Congrats 8.5.
I'm actually surprised we don't see more golf in this show. Both leads had seasons where they didn't make playoffs...
Just watched ##StarfleetAcademy s1e3. This one is a 6, maybe a 5.5 and will likely give fuel to the haters. It's a silly episode with shenanigans. It's closer to "Rascals" than, say, "Take me out to the holosuite." But also, it's a school show focusing on young adults, YA stuff is to be expected.
- l can't believe I didn't mention the amazing music by Peter Peter, and the overall song choice. 1- how did they not release the full soundtrack the second episode 6 was released is beyond me. 2- Miley Cirus could never. #ISaidWhatISaid
About the YA elements in the series, what were people expecting from a series set in a boarding school? And as others mentioned, notably @zilatreks.bsky.social, Star Trek has always been corny and had romance storylines and characters for the YA demographic. If you don't like it don't watch it.
Also, no Cerritos or Protostar (although there's a nod to the latter) in the opening sequence is just wrong.
Also the visual effects were great (live action Cetacean Ops and Brikka, yes please, DOTS in every single frame, not necessary).
