This is crazy, it’s already more than 10% funded within the first few hours.

A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nation’s people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.
We mustn’t let this war do so.

“Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital did not share how much Parton donated as part of the naming announcement. But Matt Schaefer, its president and CEO, said her support would ensure ‘every child who walks through our doors receives the treatment they deserve.’”

Today should be your 38th birthday.. When you lose your son you lose more than a child you lose a piece of your heart and your joy. Life is forever altered, and nothing can ever fill that space. Yet in my soul, he remains, my precious boy, forever loved. His laughter, his smile, and his love are woven into who I am. My love for him will never fade. Yor are my pride and my joy - you've made a change that cannot be broken..

phew, crisis averted: we missed the only supermarket that sells the particular kind of dry food our cats will eat, but one of the shop staff was still at the counter. He came over to the door and very kindly went and got us some dry cat food and brought it out for us, which was lovely of him.

President Donald Trump said that the arrest of the former Prince Andrew was a "shame"… funny… I think it’s good when people who have ties to predators are held accountable… not a shame.

Trump is threatening to block construction of a publicly owned bridge connecting Detroit and Canada, despite supporting the project in his first term.
A billionaire who privately owns a competing bridge met with Howard Lutnick just days before Trump announced his opposition.
Funny how that works.
