Everyone is misinterpreting this post so I need to clarify: I do not care if the art is good or bad. I think that when people create something regardless of if it looks like a child or a professional made it it’s amazing. You can see how people use their brains in attempt to create something

My favorite thing in the world is when people who claim they have no artistic talent draw something. And I look at it and think it’s the most amazing thing ever

I watched a kid I know draw a monster on some paper, then draw a monster "on top of it", but they literally drew it on top of the monster so it was overlapping and the lines were all mixed together. I realized they were thinking in Z-space, not just 2D space, like photoshop layers. It was beautiful.

EVERY artist absolutely ADORES art made people who are not trained. We all look at it with absolute joy because it feels like the purest art that's possible.

We have all this training, but with it comes a lack of purity, and we spend our entire lives in futility trying to achieve that purity again.
