I saw that last year. It’s perfect. Just don’t show Sherri Crichton this, lol

Even though I just enjoyed Anora, I felt that the movie (a zany, absurdist, screwball comedy) probably wouldn’t have won Best Picture 20 years earlier. I remember the brouhaha over Wolf of Wall Street. The definition of an Oscar movie has changed over the last decade or so.
@bigchaunc64.bsky.social I get really frustrated with the discourse of Oscar ratings especially since 2017-ish. While yes, I wish the show would had its peak 90s-2004 numbers, I’m well aware technology has evolved. “Muggles” don’t understand how media dynamics works and/or lack the nuance to argue.
If the Academy and ABC (or YouTube) are worried about ratings figures related to DST (I think there is legit concern but also some overblown), they should schedule the show either on their last Sunday in February or the first Sunday in March. This year had the Winter Olympics, FWIW.
Although last year had no daylight savings time. So probably folks on the other 3 time zones weren’t weened to going outside or such.
Then again, the ceremony aired during DST in 2024 and 2023 and still had higher numbers than this year supposedly.
I’m aware there are L+7 numbers, but most news reports usually go with the L+SD numbers since 2007 for apples to apples comparisons (the DVR same day could inch it a bit up probably still down from last year).
The thing I hate about ratings is doom on one end and schadenfreude on the other end.
Is this including Hulu and other streaming figures. I remember the 19.7M stat posted on the Wednesday after the 2025 show included that after initially posting 18.07M on the day before (Tuesday after the show) which did not include streaming figures. Nevertheless, these are fine #’s post 2020.
Has started 7p since 2024.
Next year will have the Oscars and Super Bowl LXI both on ABC. I hope Conan hosts again because I want a commercial with Conan with Stafford or Nacua or even the Mannings.
Who from sports primarily NFL or MLB would fit McGregor?
Oops Ewan is Mike Trout. Stupid autocorrect.
Swan’s like the Mike Trout of entertainment. Kotsur, Murphy, or Rockwell are Matthew Stafford with Brendan Fraser as Kershaw. Aaron Donald is Regina King.
Now countdown to Rams next season begins in earnest. We’ll also Dodgers on the horizon for another chip, though.
I had no rooting interest in a nominee, ur Autumn, MBJ, Buckley, and Madigan are all awesome winners even though definitely not the same level as Cillian or Kotsur personally.
Really liked the 70s brutalist library/Korean/Japanese sushi bar stage.
When will Ewan get his Oscar?
Slumdog Millionaire is my favorite film.
Channeling Andrew Friedman
My mom likes the first three episodes of The Pitt so far, @bigchaunc64.bsky.social. She was a fan of the first three seasons of ER. And she’s of the contingent that usually just watches FBI on CBS or Law and Order on NBC (aka antenna TV dramas).
I like Crosby personally, but I’m not sure if it was worth the Rams trading a lot of draft picks and maybe Byron Young the gamble.
Also Casting too, I forgot.
It’s for sure going to also get Original Score and probably Cinematography and Supporting Actress.

Obviously. Just confirmation hopefully like Jessie Buckley next month.
Also knew Stafford was going to come back next year. If his interviews last November were any indication.
Me neither
They can both go to hell for all I care.
Gotta run up the score and stop the offense of the Hawm
