April 6, 2023. Three years ago today, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies premiered, and became my greatest musical and dance obsession. Watching this series made me young again.

Easter morning, 1978. It looks like I've always had the habit of showing off my basket.

My novelization of Basket Case is set during Easter week, a large portion occurs on Easter, and Easter traditions come into play, like Belial's Easter Egg Hunt in the Hotel Broslin. It is the Easter version of Basket Case!

Today marks the 44th anniversary of Basket Case. In my novelization, I start the story and set the first murder on April 2, 1982, when Basket Case had its world premiere.

I recently watched the new documentary Making It: Big Dreams on a Small Budget to see filmmaker Doug Waugh and his behind the scenes horror FX work, and I was surprised to see myself in a few shots, handing out trophies at the Shriekfest Awards Ceremony. Making It is available on Tubi.

The news of Jamie Blanks passing away is a stab to the heart for many genre film fans. A singular talent, a filmmaker’s filmmaker, and friend of many, his legacy lives on. I had the privilege of projecting his first two films Urban Legend and Valentine on 35mm first run.
