I wish people would respond this way to me! Please talk to me about anything other than work.

I used to go to Target a couple times a month. Reading this post was the first time I even remembered they exist since the boycott started. Keep the pressure on!

I accidentally included the unedited cloud photo in the original post so here's the correct one and a bonus sight from my walk

I shouldn't be shocked, but I'm still always brought up short to realize how many people think "civility" means "white people speaking in relatively calm voices" no matter what vile shit they say.

Who cares about political compass projections. What vision for the future does the "center right" give us? More corporate profits and deepening wealth inequality.

There are so many interesting things about this. The first question I have is about the figures with feather headdresses.

I understand your point, but it feels like being worried that your plants need watering while your house is on fire.

Kurt Vonnegut tells his wife he's going out to buy an envelope:
"Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man.
You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet?
And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope.
I meet a lot of people. And see some great looking babies. And a fire engine goes by.
And I give them the thumbs up. And I'll ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is โ€” we're here on Earth to fart around
And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around.
And it's like we're not supposed to dance at all anymore."

Shot on ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Ilford HP5 120 film with my new (70 year old) ๐Ÿ“ท Kodak Duaflex II. It is a simple camera that takes Kodak 620 film which was discontinued in '95 but modern 120 film can work. I love the vignette from the single lens. I will definitely be shoot another roll.

This guy is in one of the worst prisons in the world with no way out and may spend the rest of his life there because, it appears, he has an autism awareness tattoo in honor of his little brother.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything weโ€™ve seen in this country in a very long time.

I also have a V600! It has its quirks but can produce some nice images

Sounds like a conversation starter. My only half frame camera is a Canon Demi and I have to meter, set aperture and shutter speed, and focus manually. I did some quick reading and it seems like your Yashica will be a much more enjoyable and easy to use experience. Even if it has the wrong date ๐Ÿ˜„
