Once, I wrote an email to the author of a published book - I got a wild hair when I saw her email on her website - and when she WROTE ME BACK and said she was “chuffed” that I loved her work… That experience I will never forget, as it reminds me to express my appreciation of creatives daily.

That’s legit. It might not be “serious” but those feelings are real.

I completely relate to this. Sometimes I have a scene in mind that I feel like I have to “justify” with a plot. But like… why? What I actually want to write is the vibe. And it’s fanfic! Why not let ourselves write what we want??
