Inter Dynamic Metrics is interesting: more spacing for small text, tighter tracking for larger text

Similar to how macOS/iOS does dynamic optical sizes for San Francisco fonts, but continuous

Any variable fonts that do this?

I swear you have so many thoughts you could be active on all four social sites without cross-posting lmao

Man that's a lot of crossposting lol

Usually I pick two platforms for each post, makes it much easier

Same feeling: indispensable for my corp-ish account and makes me feel like a social media manager, but can't imagine using it for personal

I'm surprised that 7zip can't do asar, of all things

Just saw it last week I think, but definitely seems close to dying at last

Why can't macOS record system audio out of the box in 2023? I'm using a custom Git build of the BlackHole driver from over a year ago, plus a multi-output device

(still works, too scared to touch it again)

And of course you can self host but I don't want to maintain that. Also leads to more of a federation bubble

Don't really want to say this but Mastodon felt a bit repressive to me with all the instance politics and CW + anti-corporate account stuff. That's why I never moved from mastodon.social

It's still more active for my circle though

OpenAI API usage chart

OpenAI API usage chart

Seems like ChatGPT* has earned a place in my workflow. Used it almost every day last month

Copilot is the only other AI tool I use regularly

"Not a typewriter"

Most modern libraries have changed ENOTTY to "Inappropriate ioctl for device", but some relics still remain :)

This one is from the "nix" Rust crate

yeah looks like you're right, pretty close though

throughput-wise, I think Warp looks faster because it seems to buffer more, whereas iTerm+GPU renders more often (and the block editor hides prompt delay)

2 years ago 1 0 1 0

iTerm's speed with GPU rendering enabled doesn't feel much different, and input latency feels lower too (not sure if placebo)

Warp is nice but I need at least 1M lines of scrollback. 10,000 per block doesn't cut it :/
