If your daily commute doesn't feature truck nuts maybe shut up about the south.

This hits hard: "Fascism โ€“ what Hannah Arendt called 'organized loneliness' โ€“ can only take root when people stop believing that their society will reward their lawfulness with an orderly and humane existence."

Read the whole thread. This really crystalizes a problem that has been haunting me.

So much great info thank you. Do you sell as part of Plantapalooza? I've heard great things about the natives available.

Ah ok I was thinking you were using a botanicare soil mix. That's a great setup. Probably better off long term avoiding wet leaves as well.

Thank you for the advice.

That's awesome. I might need to try your mix, I never get good mycohorizal activity. What kind of irrigation system are you using? I'm just watering with a wand, but I don't think that would work for 3k lol .
Thanks for the heads up on Sheffield. Do you sell your seedlings anywhere?

Nice. I'm using the D25 with promix. I only have Swamp chestnut (40 or so) and a few white oak.
Where did you get the Oglethorpe acorns?

This is good, but very anger inducing.

I really like his writing, but I'm prepared to push him into the volcano if he's a sex pest.

What's the story with him?

There are no exceptions to this rule, none. Not even that one guy you really like, not even your worst political enemy. Not even the guy who you think will save us all. Once someone demonstrates they can't be trusted with power, never give them power again.

What a shame. I was just today talking with one of his former guests about how much of an impact he's had in the field.
I'm delighted to have his blog turn up in the results when I'm searching for plant info, I know I will be getting good info.

I think 3d printed resin minis are great.

One thing I really appreciate with them is theoretically* I could buy an stl from Europe, etc and print it here in the US without the stupid tariffs getting involved.
*I have yet to get into 3d printing.

Where are you finding good models?

Gonna guess that these people are just horrible in general and the dog thing is just one example.

If you're on signal & haven't already, maybe go to

Settings โ†’ Notifications โ†’ Content โ†’ Name Only or No Name or Content

Because apparently phone forensics can scrape msgs from notifications storage.

Not just a signal problem, btw. Any encrypted messaging service w/ a "msg preview" type of setting

For the Troubles there's Civies, a British tv show about guys who get out of the Paras and have trouble in civilian life before falling into organized crime. It's filmed and set in the 90s.

I'm going to jump on this. I love Lil Folks.

That sounds like a solid way to start. It is definitely scary at times, but there are ways to mitigate that. If you back burn, light against the wind, it will be predominantly low and slow.
We are in a severe drought which makes things spicier.

I started being very worried and just ripped the band aid off. If you can attend a learn and burn those were helpful.

We ended up realizing you basically need scary conditions to get a good burn, eg sustained wind and low humidity. I did prolly 10 burns before I was willing to push to that pt. GL!

Still smoldering underground. No chance of it spreading, but kind of unsettling.

Good point, also wild that Ratcliffe didn't already know that at this point.

Data centers are the same boogyman for some people as 5G was for maga.

It's a bad look.

So many people falling for this, very discouraging.

Why would NASA release it with music?
