A digital illustration of two japanese lesbians flirting in a queer underground bar in the 80s. One of them wears a blue jacket, the other a suit, while in the background there's liquor and a multitude of little stickers and illustrations of lesbian and queer marks.

The full illustration I did for @taplingzines.bsky.social "We've Always Been Here"

The zine depicts queer couples throughout cultures and history and I had the honours of portraying a Japanese lesbian couple in an underground bar during the 80s✨

An artwork depicting a painter and her muse. In the main scene, the painter is leaning forward to brush a strand of hair from her subject's face. The subject is sitting with white lilies on a table behind her, she is wearing a long white gown and is holding onto a walking cane. A canvas can be seen on the foreground.
Behind the two of them is a red curtain being pulled in the close up on the upper left corner, where the painter kisses the muse's cheek.
The artwork is framed with peonies, forget me nots and scattered pages with pencil sketches.

A digital art piece or two masculine Native American characters in a corn field. The one on the right sits on the ground, holding a basket of corn with the purple Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) flag woven into the backet's design. Standing behind them, on the left, is a male character who leans over the one on the right to kiss his nose from behind, also placing an ear of corn into his backet at the same time. The one standing wears a breechcloth and leggings, and has red tattoos on his arms. The one sitting also wears a breechcloth, but also wears a bead necklace and a purple armband, his hair tied up with a purple ribbon.

A digital, softly painted piece of two Welsh lesbians dressed in traditional attire relax together in a field of daffodils. One reads a book as she lays a limb difference on her adoring partner looking up at her, laid in her lap. The laid down woman strokes a Calico kitten's head. The two are hit with soft, warm sunlight.

An illustration of two Anglo-Saxon era lesbians. One is embracing the other from behind, burying her face in her neck while the other smiles joyfully, they are adorned by a background of various patterns inspired by the era's artwork, including metalwork & jewellery as well as illuminated manuscripts. The patterns involve a lot of swirling & abstract floral & animal motifs. The woman being embraced is standing at a warp-weighted loom which is being used to weave a fabric in colours of the lesbian flag (orange, white and pink).

A digital illustration of two Igorot men, one Bontoc and one Ibaloi, about to kiss. The Ibaloi man, who wears a white blanket, holds the Bontoc man's face. The Bontoc man, who wears red, looks surprised. The Sleeping Beauty Mountain in Kalinga is in the background. In the sky, there are yellow clouds and a light rainbow. The ground is littered with arrows.

A softly lit watercolor painting of three panels, bordered by intricately painted branches of pomegranate and orange trees. The first panel, in the top left corner, shows both men kissing with one pressed against an intricately tiled wall in the Alhambra palace. One man has rich, warm brown skin and a turquoise headwrap that falls down over his shoulders and coat, which is decorated in intricate golden swirl patterns. The man kissing him has richer cooler-toned dark brown skin, with a white headwrap clipped together with a golden pin, wearing a white robe with intricate gold and red-gem inset details. Both have facial hair. The central painting, the largest panel, shows both men sitting in a public bath, although they are alone, gazing closely at each other, looking like they're about to kiss, arms resting on their legs as they gaze softly. They both have small, damp fabric around their waists, the colors matching their respective outfits. The man in the white cloth has braided cornrows, in a traditional Amazigh style. The man in the blue cloth gazes slightly down into his eyes, with his leg extended over the ledge of the bath, showing intricately painted and extensive burn scars including contractions. A cane rests on the shadowed wall beside him. The bath room itself is a pale yellow stone, shadowed in purple washes, with a central inset section bordered by a pattern of turquoise, dark blue, green, and red diamond tiles, interspersed with white tiles. The central inset part has the same pattern, but far smaller and more detailed. The final panel, in the bottom left, shows the turquoise and indigo robe of one of the men as he walks, using his cane, with his lover's hand holding his back for support. The blue robe has even more intricate swirling gold patterns, with a red sash and gold metal piece tying it together at the waist. A washy watercolor part hints at a garden in the background.

Oh, I get the confusion then! Yeah, you definitely wouldn't want a compression top to be oversized 😅 haha

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

It's referring to how you want your clothing to be very loose right after surgery so it doesn't pull on anything when you move, so typically you would want to buy a size that's larger than what you would normally wear!
