I loved the attention to different storylines, how music is tied to each of them, how their journeys intertwined, and how unique each playthrough can be. There are so many ways to play it, so replayability is really high!
companies change things without telling nobody just to get people talking about it. it's a type of marketing
and they don't release publicly that they changed something, they can argue to users and investor that it was just a "feature test" or "experiment" if it backfires
Coming from FF6, VII felt shallow compared to the previous installment for me. I will probably give it another go in a few months from now
