Feeling a little vulnerable putting this out there as I don't typically feel comfortable asking for financial help but here goes nothin'
Now that the initial scary diagnosis part is over, I'm now entering the scary US Healthcare part. Any help at all is appreciated, even just a share. Thank you 💜

(After Book 3 is fucking done)
(So like nobody manifest this for a little bit okay?) (I am NOT saying time spans, that’s how I get *jinxed*)
I would knock over at least three other writers to do a Return of the Obra Dinn world novel.

An insane AI slip image of President Trump surrounded by angels using his hands glowing with healing light to heal an unconscious man while figures around him look on reverently and either angels or Gundam descend from the heavens
I don’t mean to backseat GM but that guy looks like he’s going to need more than d6 HP of healing.
They tie the hair to the hair on the other side instead of suturing!
I found them eventually and he was DELIGHTED.
Ned, a white boy with messy blond hair in a turquoise hoodie, stands in front of a garden bed and a potted bleeding heart plant, very amused his Momma cannot find the last three eggs.
This weekend I learned they can close scalp wounds using your own hair AND that with some assistance Ned is very good at hiding Easter Eggs. Up and down with this boy.
Maine. Seriously.

Ned is just too tall for “kid origami” car entry anymore.
After years of “oh we can manage” and one too many incidences of someone parking too close to get the door open wide enough, we finally got a disabled parking placard and I genuinely feel ridiculous having put it off.
if you’re a dude reading this like “gawrsh this is awful what can i do” it is 100% to shut down your cousins / friends / bros when they do shit like this. Shame them. Impose social stigma for them lesser weevils who think harassing marginalized people in creative industries is OK
Elon Musk didn’t go to the moon.
Jeff Bezos didn’t go to the moon.
NASA went to the moon.
I did actually have a bone removed (the pisiform bone). More for chronic pain than for the sake of publicity.
Even I am not *that* insane. Probably.
It can be for multiple reasons!
Good afternoon! Have you called your congresspeople today about getting rid of the genocidal pedophile in the White House?
If you’ve never called your congressional reps before, do it right now.

View through the train window as the light rail crosses the east channel. The highway is in the foreground.
I am writing while riding and very pleased.
Erin on the train! A white woman with light brown hair. Blue sunglasses obscure her ABSOLUTE NERVES but also her delight in public transit.
Hyped to be taking light rail to Norwescon instead of stressing about parking. ❤️ Crosslake Connector
Norwescon starts tomorrow and it’s giving me turbo ADHD. THAT IS THE NEXT REAL THING, GOTTA KEEP AN EYE ON IT.
Anyway, I’ll be at Norwescon!
Janet Stephens is amazing, and also an example - as @bretdevereaux.bsky.social pointed out recently - of how if you do the work academic historians are excited by and welcoming of outsiders making serious contributions!
Whole New World is a limited TTRPG webseries from the minds of @pmakesthings.bsky.social & Valiant Dorian, produced by @oneshotnetwork.bsky.social , that captures the chaos of game design from concept to gameplay. 🌎
Screenshot of an Instagram video capturing pope Leo with his mouth open in astonishment
Pop Leo asked if he should put on gloves to turn pages in the gorgeous Renaissance Bible and the librarian explained why it’s better to do so with bare hands. Glorious reaction.

-- Disney subsequently cancelled its investment in OpenAI
-- Wikipedia is now banning LLM-generated content
...tell me again how this is all "inevitable" and you have to "get on board or get left behind"?
Spring is here, and this robin is trying to pick a fight with every window in my house.
Which mostly is moot, I realize, since now he types just about everything, and “oh no what if no one knows how to read his handwriting in the future!” Is just catastrophizing. And my kid is not ALL kids. But I feel a weird need to defend cursive because it absolutely got him past a massive hurdle.
Whenever cursive handwriting discourse comes up, I feel complicated because my son has dysgraphia, absolutely cannot read his printed writing. So in fourth grade his teacher said, look let’s start again and taught him cursive. Which worked—it’s not gorgeous, but you can read it. It reset something.
