The differences between American and Canadian employment laws are really whacky in some places. In Canada, an employer could ask you to endanger yourself like that. At least I’m pretty sure they can’t? My job sure can’t make me go to the US right now.

I’ll admit, it’s a slight misrepresentation. There was one time. At a highway stop in a very rural place. But it was one bad experience that happened in the first couple months of my transition.

As a trans woman, I use the women’s bathroom when I’m out places. I have for almost four years now.

I figured it would be interesting to share a list of all of the times other women have had a problem with me being there… or even noticed there was a trans woman in the washroom at all.

1. Never.

At least some people are standing up. Are you an American and not brave enough to stand up? Why not? Waiting for Canada to stand up for you by burning Washington DC to the ground again?
