That's the note where I have to switch to my "girl voice". I can kinda belt it for a sec, but there's a chance it's going to be more of an uncontrolled scream.

Donald Trump cannot be trusted to lead America into war. He is unaccountable to America. He is lawless. He only seeks conflict to cover up for his failures.
Congress must step up, reassert its power, and represent the American people.
We do not want another forever war.
My stress dreams involve failing high school math because I have attendance problems from having to get my two teens to school on time. They both go to the same school in every dream (was somehow true even when they were in elementary school).
I'm unloading the dishwasher. Grab a bowl, open the fridge. "Oh crap, there's not a spot for this with the panna cotta chilling." So I think I need a nap.
Kinda neat having an av geek teen. I knew their flight was on the ground at the airport before the flight status updated because I (somewhat) know how to use the radar tracker they use. I wonder if anyone in his FB group got a photo/video of his flight as requested. Their friends will like that.
Don’t forget the kids who weren’t lucky enough to have a cute photo go viral to get people outraged on their behalf. They ALL must be released.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Digital illustration in black, pale red, and off white. A caucasian man with a black goatee and very round afro, wearing a black robe of some sort, is snarling and striking a dramatic pose with kung fu hands. He is surrounded by a jagged red burst shape. In space to the right of his head inside the burst is some fancy script reading 'Maybe'. And at the bottom of the frame in black on white in an angular blocky face is the words 'IT WILL HAPPEN TODAY'
Update: two people who have more experience with writing scripts have confirmed what I suspected. My pilot has ten minutes of content tops. So we'll add a couple more mini-scenes. If it turns out they're wrong, I can keep some scenes for the future. This is doable. Just have to do it.
I finished a first draft of the script for a pilot episode of a podcast. Not much to say about it yet. Gonna have largely cozy vibes, but there will be an overarching Problem in the background. I'm actually really excited. Now, can anyone recommend a good Minnesota accent tutorial?
ICE is upset that ICE isn't welcome in restaurants after ICE ordered food at a restaurant, ate it, then arrested restaurant employees, and ICE believes this is someone else's fault, do I have that right?
ICE doesn't get to escape. "ICE out" means out of existence.
I don't keep doomers in my feed but since apparently some folks do: "celebrate each and every win, loudly" is Organizing 101
A digital illustration that is a very direct copy of a painting seen in the Ken Russell movie Lair of the White Worm (1987). An armored knight on a galloping horse – rendered in such an odd, compressed way as to verge on cubism – is lopping the head off a huge looping, bluish-white snakelike beast as it emerges from a cave in a rocky crash. At the bottom of the frame a red banner bearing golden blackletter lettering reads ‘Forsitan Hodie Fiet’ which I very much hope is Latin for ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
So, so many missed tackles. When I, a very casual "fan" who mostly just enjoys the impressive runs, notice something like that, it has to be bad.
Make it viral.
Not me hiding in the break room at work because I'm sobbing at the end of the most recent @malevolent.ca episode. 😂 Such a beautiful chapter with so many long-awaited events.
A digital approximation of a child’s crayon drawing. Am outline traced around a hand has been transformed into a turkey in profile, filled in roughly with brown, and with the fingers becoming green, red, orange, and yellow feathers and a bird’s eye, beak and wattle added to make the thumb into a head facing to the right. A pilgrim hat with buckle has been put on the turkey’s head and its stick feet are standing on green crayon grass. To the left, either in the distance or much smaller is a stick figure pilgrim with similarly buckled hat holding a hatchet. The turkey has a very roughly drawn speech bubble containing the words ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
It’s 2050 and a teen girl is torrenting a .tar.gz file of all the consciousnesses of all the tech bros who uploaded themselves into the cloud in a bid for immortality and modding them into The Sims 4
We must keep shouting!
People act as though the only option for unhoused people is jail or remaining on the streets.
They claim it’s “compassionate” to jail or institutionalize them because it means they have food & a roof over their head.
“Compassion” would be safe affordable housing. Not jail.
I dunno how exactly, but it feels 100% accurate
A decent indicator that this is true (at least to me): I liked it without context.
My mom and I had more wine today than normal. She's fine, but I'm far more tipsy than I typically allow. I'm definitely not managing to hide it. But it makes audiodrama listening even more fun. I'll probably need to relisten to this episode of The Grotto. 👍
I know it's not exactly the point but I hope these fuckers cook in the heat dome.
This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.
There are widespread reports of ICE agents abducting people while masked, without warrants or identification. Due to recent events, we strongly advise: do not open your door or car for anyone you don’t know. That’s the message. No need to elaborate.
