Hopefully the human part will be good enough to catch people's eye? It's a good idea.

Oh, a multi-image post with a warning image will indeed be pretty useful on Cara! That's a good idea.

I'm not sure what I'll do for Bluesky yet, but that will help, thank you!

I feel sad for spiders being treated as graphic media, but I guess I'll have to. Thanks for the input!

I wish there were detailed labels for specific content warnings, it feels like the system lacks nuance.
Wondering if I should post it at all if it's going to be drowned out anyway.

I was thinking about a content warning, yes! But I have reason to fear everyone will completely skip it over if I do. 🤔

How would you people go about posting art of a creature that is half-man and half-giant spider?

I went in detail with the hairy spider half, and I want to show it off, but Arachnophobia is common. I don't want to drive people away.

What an intriguing character! These pieces are beautiful.

Digital art of a woman wearing armour has a purple veil held tight around her head by a collar. The image of one of her eyes and some of her hair is faintly visible. She is sitting on the ground with a morning star in her hands and caltrops around her.

A knight in armor, leather hat and a layered dress. Her outfit is shades of maroon pink and red with a veil in bright red being pulled over her face. An arrow has gone by her face and in her chest piece leaving pink sparks on impact. She holds her sword low to her side.

Thinking about Zephyranthes and what to draw next of her. 🗡️

No portfolio day for me! Feeling very sick and sticking to survival mode.

It's horrible. And maddening.

And what options are there when this happens? Litigations? That sounds downright impossible, not to mention exhausting beyond reason. I just hope you can get a second opinion from someone who will actually listen to you.

With traditional art, absolutely not! Pigments and paint ingredients can be somewhat toxic. It's better to avoid food and drinks on the workstation, and to wash hands carefully after a painting session.

I wish I could say this isn't painfully ordinary, but from my experience, they will use ANY excuse to blame it on mental health, whether it is legitimate or not.

I am very sorry this is happening to you too.

Good gods, I truly hate the "artists are now content creators" economy online.

This would be so clunky and heavy and hard to move, too, if it even works...

However distressing it may be, the trail has an elegance to it! I hope you can grow to wear it with pride, in time.

You can do it!
And if it expires I bet you could still do something with opaque paints! 🤔

...or start over. Not a fan of starting over, personally. So much energy wasted. 🫠

I feel like my train of thought for a lot of my art is "but what if it was evil" idk what this says about me lol.

A grey-skinned half-drow with tawny brown hair is wearing an ostentatious costume unfolding into butterfly wings attached to the arms. A feathered half-mask sits on his face. He wears the ruffles oddly well. You can't even tell how self-conscious he is. The man spent that entire evening wishing he could hide behind an article of furniture.

I don't think I've shared this before? This was a painterly digital sketch for a costume worn by my D&D character during a masquerade ball back in 2023, inspired by an archduke butterfly.

This grey man isn't comfortable in fancy situations, which was very fun to play. :')

Thank you!!! It was a lot of fun to design and imagine.
He was mortified the entire masquerade and wanted to crawl into a hole 😂 (they had a really bad dramatic poet standing on a stage, it was tragic)

I cannot stand the feel of textured watercolour paper on my hands. It is akin to sandpaper.

I have the delicate skin of a newborn. 🥲
