Americans in a vast % vote party colors, not policy, not ideology.
I might be wrong, but that is how it looks from Europe, and that does not go away in a vote.

All of that could have been already done. The only reason it did not happen is because US is a "loyalty to party" state for a vast majority of Americans. Many call themselves 'conservatives' or 'republicans' without even understanding the words just because that is what the family was.
What US lacks in my opinion is people to take the reigns.
Your bipartisan system created a political class that is less about ideology (left and right) and more about corporate interest.
Both parties lack trust of people and people to lead people.
Yes, it will take a decade or two...
US decline and fall is literally the same playbook we've seen starting with overreach throughout history. It's far beyond a "bad presidency that will pass".
And that all is unfortunate, but it is how it is. It always played out the same way. Roman empire, netherlands, spanish, british, french...
Have been blackmailed by US and everything that was built on trust has been destroyed by Trump. Had there been at least a clear resistance in congress, maybe, but a lot of the harm caused by Trump to its allies was met with 0 congress pushback.
There were bigger and more powerful empires falling.
And I know it might sound bad, but the ha done by Trump to world trust and US economy will not return. Foar decades the democratic countries looked up to US and accepted dependency on US in various industries. As it was commited to democracy.
Last year almost all of US allies....
You really believe everything is just about votes?
Look into the history of the world.
The harm already done will not be undone. Not within 1 generation.
As for 2028... Probably the world will look completely different at that point. Much of that thanks to USA doing a 180 on its allies.

He's a Roy Cohn styled thug.
I'm embarrassed and disgusted to live in a country that calls a thug it's leader.

Legally, they are limits of power.

Kennedy answered: “Because of Reye’s Syndrome.”
Rogan: “what’s Reye’s Syndrome?”
Kennedy: “…I’m not sure, exactly.”
