@timmiller.bsky.social Always love your closing music! It so frequently intersects with my taste and exposes me to some great stuff. Have you ever thought about doing a more casual show maybe for subscribers focused on talking about music you find interesting? I think you would do a great job!

Could you RT this? I am trying to find someone for a story
your goal for the week is to tell one friend about @hyperfixedpod.bsky.social Say “hey Reginald, it’s me Derrick! Your cubicle buddy at the box factory. I’ve been listening to a general interest narrative podcast you might enjoy, hosted by Alan Goldwyn or whatever. You should check it out.”
A parking lot showing a cybertruck in one spot, next to a car that has built a cybertruck-esque shell around it out of green plastic. It's really hard to describe exactly how silly this vehicle looks next to the green car.
In my city there is one cybertruck and one DIY parody of a cybertruck and the parody truck has become a local celebrity. Meanwhile, I always wish I had some rotten eggs to throw at the tesla whenever I see it.
They had Project For Awesome long before those clowns. They don’t get to own project all year.
I’m leaking my prfaq here:
Amazon Q for Billing:
AWS billing got so complex, even we let AI predict your charge. surprise fees are now auto-generated in advance? Now, Q helps you decode the bill AI calculated, so you can wonder why data transfer still costs more than compute.
Super interesting, someone should do a podcast on just who is this person.
Who?
I just wish we had flexibility instead of Jassy deciding for us… about to go waste an hour of the day driving in and out for that swipe!
I hate doing RTO5, it feels so wasteful. My individual productivity is so much better at home. I have to admit the last month of it has felt much more energized. My team is starting to work together more and it’s breaking down a bunch of walls we had before. (I do senior SDE “work” at AWS)
Tweet from MapQuest: fyi MapQuest is NOT renaming the Gulf of Mexico - not because of politics but because we haven't updated our maps in like 15 years and don't remember how to do it 3:01 PM • Jan 29, 2025

Some mix of D and E where e is ad free! Ads not carefully chosen can be grating! I also don’t love it when they are not super relevant or repeating!
Are we gonna ban links to X here?!
Coffee can have all the nutrients your body needs if you believe the lies I tell myself.
Really sad to have the same thoughts. :(
hot air baloons over the city with many stone formations
Found another shot from Cappadocia in 2022! Amazing place!

Yep! It’s all about layers! Ideally everything piece of identity should be secured with something you have, something you know, and something you are. My phone is locked away behind a strong password or biometrics before you can actually access any info via mirroring!
I mean afaik it’s still accomplishing the goal of multiple pieces of info needed to prove your identity. It has some proximity guarantee to the device as it needs to be in the same local network. Stronger than iMessage which you can just directly sign into on Mac.
@agoldman.bsky.social so happy you had @yayalexisgay.bsky.social on @hyperfixedpod.bsky.social ! You’re both a joy to listen to!
Heading into 2024 / Heading into 2025
I typically will put it up on my tv and do something else! It’s sometimes nice to look at presenters who are more expressive like Jon Stewart!
