Green Dot by Madeline Grey: 3/5

The first part of the book is better as the protagonist is this chaotic bisexual who doesn't want a job and just wants to spice up her life. And then it's basically waiting for the train crash to finally happen. Ultimately this book is pretty witty and humorous.

Catwoman Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas: 3.5/5

A very enjoyable adaptation, especially if you enjoy the comics and Maas' prior work. Selina Kyle's personality is modeled after the other FMC's across Maas' other books and you get a lot of the same story beats, but it's peak escapism.

Normal People by Sally Rooney: 3/5

Coming of age story about two teens going to Trinity College. The most interesting part is the little bits of socialist and political commentary. The story isn't complex even if the drama and feelings involved are messy, with both mains becoming more self aware.

Crown Of Midnight by Sarah J Maas. 4/5 stars.

The 2nd book of the Throne of Glass series. It suffers a bit from middle book syndrome (even though there's a lot of books after) because it's transitioning from the battle Royale murder mystery from the first book to something more adventurous (1)

Always interesting when you're on the treadmill and realize that Ive's new song has the melody from Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, which is not a particularly great treadmill song.

Some people manage their lives with a Google Calendar. I manage my life with a Kanban board on Cryptpad.

I guess we'll see 🤷‍♀️. Love that there's a huge infection in cattle and people are going for raw milk.

Absolutely amazing. Like FLCL in that the art and setpieces are absolutely insane, but it revolves around these kids figuring out relationships. The animation goes in all kinds of zany directions. An absolute delight!

People need adequate clothing and blankets to cope with the cold.

What one may consider an everyday necessity– in #Gaza, everything is a luxury.
Blankets, for example, are priced at 200 ILS shekels, a whopping US$ 55.

John: I want to start a religion for tax purposes. The three tennats are Be Good to the Planet, be good to other living beings, and be good to each other to the best of your ability. I got this from a dream where I tried every type of alcoholic drink in the world and every strain of weed.
