🥵❤️‍🔥 @ekkoastral.bsky.social are back with “𝖍𝖔𝖗𝖘𝖊𝖌𝖑𝖚𝖊,” the heaviest song from the band to date. The 2-minute slugfest is a baptism in fire that sees the 3-piece D.C. punk band reborn as the harbingers of sludgy dystopiacore, brimming with confidence.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

Thanks to all of you who attended the first Liberation Weekend, and the help of all our amazing sponsors, we were able to raise more than $30K for GLM. We’re still crunching the numbers though and the total may be more than $35K.

We look forward to next year, because there’s no way we’re letting this momentum slow down. And we hope this event and its non-profit model inspires more festivals like it in other parts of our fracturing nation. Grateful, beaming and eternally yours, the Liberation Weekend team.
