@ajetchicago.bsky.social this game is insane
Ugh is the correct interjection

What level of hell is “Select a PCP in network”?
In listening to this podcast I’m brought to the McDonald’s McFlurry Machine Problem. The technology you are discussing will have so many levels of gate keeping, incentives to lock people into expensive upgrade cycles, and never ending subscriptions that will have to be in place to pay for the Capex
One of my favorite shows. As an atheist I often find myself thinking about the lack of cultural nourishment that a position like atheism offers. This show was so comforting for me. I went through cancer treatment this spring (my condition has resolved) and this show touched me quite profoundly.

DR OZ: If you're sitting at home as an able-bodied person on Medicaid & on average you'll watch 6.1 hours of TV or leisure time at home, you actually don't want that. Opiate use skyrockets
CNBC: There are a lot of people who are on Medicaid who are there actually as caregivers, so they are working
As someone who went through 35 days of chemo radiation treatment for HPV16 associated squamous cell carcinoma of the base of tongue and tonsil, I wish I could have had the vaccine. My condition has resolved but the effects of treatment will be with me for the rest of my life.
It did not end well for Charles I
Every single one of these clips was taken today in downtown Portland. Portland doesn’t want or need a federal takeover. If Trump insists on sending federal “resources” he can start with funding health care, bridges, affordable housing, and wildfire protection to name a few.
Pulled out the antenna to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live! Live!
LOL Awesome.
What's happening with Jimmy Kimmel is about politics and power.
STEWART: “Comedy doesn’t change the world, but it’s a bellwether— we’re the banana peel in the coal mine… authoritarians are the threat to comedy, music, art, thought… progress.”
Nailed it.
A healthy reminder to put NIN back on repeat

I don’t know when it’s going to pop for a lot of normies that they are living under an authoritarian regime, but the cancellation of popular TV shows that make fun of the administration might do it www.vulture.com/article/abc-...
Congratulations!!!!!
Screenshot from the linked article that reads: I also know that our credibility and the trust of our audience is the only thing that separates us from anyone else. It is the only "business model" that we have and that I am certain works: We trade good, accurate, interesting, human articles for money and attention. The risks of offloading that trust to an Al in a careless way is the biggest possible risk factor that we could have as a business. Having an article go out where someone goes "Actually, a robot wrote this," is one of the worst possible things that could ever happen to us, and so we have made the brave decision to not do that.
Screenshot from the linked article that reads: There is no reason for an individual journalist or an individual media company to make the fast food of the internet. It's already being made, by spammers and the Al companies themselves. It is impossible to make it cheaper or better than them, because it is what they exist to do. The actual pivot that is needed is one to humanity. Media companies need to let their journalists be human. And they need to prove why they're worth reading with every article they do.
This, from @404media.co, is very good

Awesome!
Ah yes, appropriate. Exactly what everyone is looking for in a weather forecast.
Interesting combo. I want to imagine these are all from the same person.
Actually, it is entirely up to Congress. The Republicans have, once again, abdicated their Constitutionally mandated authority over tariffs. Trade deficits do not represent an “emergency” in any capacity.
There is no bottom to this cesspool
We saw a pair of Black Crowned Night Herons at RP Nature center earlier this week and a couple of Blue Herons
Funny as only Congress has the power vested by the Constitution to codify any international trade agreements. So, this framework is in no way a “deal” and in no way indicative of anything in the short or long term. This is a publicity stunt.
