I feel like this year was a year of a lot of growth for me as an artist. A bunch of cute lil guys were painted, we messed around with busts, and larger scale models. Took home some hardware which was pretty cool. But as cliche as it sounds, the best part was the friends that I made along the way.

I have this tendency to call models that I'm working on "___" Boi. So because I am not clever with names meet "Meadow Mushie Boi". He's just a cute lil guy!
My goal for this model was use more directional light, create a story with basing, and play around. I over all love how well he turned out.

Its a busy week for hobbying. I'm going need all the friends to hang out and help me get through this!

A month or two ago @chimerapaintsminis.bsky.social and myself did a style swap stream. We both painted this Pangolin Merchant model from Cobra Mode. I typically do not paint in bright saturated colors. However this was a really fun model and stream to goof around with color!

This was a very fun project. I had actually printed this model over a year ago, and got too intimidated to try it. One day I said "Let's slap some paint on this model". I got lost in the creative process and came out with a model that looks pretty good. The Fae King will be coming with me to Nova.

"Tartan and Feathers" will be coming with me to Capital Palette at Nova. I am so incredibly proud of this piece.

I definitely leveled up a lot while painting this model. She is probably the piece I am most proud of to date.

I had the chance to do a paint test with @bearcavalrypaints.bsky.social. I chose to use the Hopper model from Dragon Trappers.
I used Purple Rain, Forest of Shadows, Crimson Thunder and Pale Rider. The paint was very creamy and mixed well with each other, they did not separate on my wet palette.

Moonstone Monday: Today's featured model is Vespa. This was a fun model to play with colors on. To make the wasp feel more fae and mystical instead of something that gives me an allergic reactions (fun fact I am allergic to wasps). Vespa has some cool abilities in game.

Moonstone Monday: Week 3 we are showing off Ruwt. Ruwt is the last of the 3 figures in the Wyrdwood set. Ruwt was the first time I played around painting with Moss texture (this was before I discovered Dirty Down Moss). I loved working on this model.

Back to having weekly #daggers4color challenges post Adepticon. This challenge came from the Rouge Hobbies Signature Set from @monument_hobbies. @daggers.tv is on Twitch painting a yeti from @cobramode using these colors. Give them a try for yourself, make sure to tag Jamie or myself in your post!

I had such a fun time going back to my roots and painting this Bulbasuar 3d Pokemon card. I started this hobby painting Pokemon it only made sense to revisit where I started. I can tell serious growth has occurred.

WIP Wednesday. At Adepticon I took Brush For Hire’s “Get Gud at Galaxies” class. It was such a good class and unlocked a lot of stuff for me. I knew right away I needed to try it on this model. It was such a fun process and I look forward to finishing up this model and try galaxies on more things!

This week for Moonstone Monday I'm showing of my take in Drayner. A Spirit who has a knack for shapeshifting. She was my first Moonstone model that I painted and I very much enjoyed the process.
