I think she has so much potential and it's so sad that she's so damn boring. I've thought this ever since seriously getting into Overwatch sometime last year.
(Side note: I actually still really like Mercy and think its fun using her flight and rez abilities. She is just missing that secret sauce)

It honestly pisses me off that to be a good mercy player you literally CAN'T contribute any damage and you are either healing or damage boosting someone else. To me she might as well not even have a weapon because it's mostly there for decoration.
I think Mercy would be a million times more fun if her primary fire was her gun. Then her secondary fire can be her staff which she can switch between healing and damage boosting instead of how it is currently where she switches between her gun and staff.
I saw a YT short recently about changes #Overwatch was planning to make and the #Mercy rework really caught my eye. I've had some thoughts about this for a while because I feel like I've come up with the perfect solution.
To make this character model I've been following this awesome character modeling series by Alex Cheparev called "Easy 3D Character Modeling in Maya". This has been unbelievably helpful and I recommend this to anyone who is newbie at modeling and using Maya.

The sculpting was interesting, I unintentionally created a uncanny scary human face that turned more intentional towards the end. The retopologizing a I used a model provided by my professor and I actually had a lot more fun than I thought I would.

Some were disqualified for not being related to the theme or for being started far before the game jams start date (this just means they canβt be rated).

I'm hoping it will get easier the more game jams I participate in π
I spent a lot of my time trying to get the movement to work. In fact I spent most of my time trying to fix the movement only to find out that the whole time I had the script unchecked in Unity so it wasn't even being used. I'm really kicking myself because of that ;-;
Right now there is only some basic left and right movement with no animations. There are no interactables aside from clicking to get through the text. I made a dialogue box with panel object, but it scales kind of wonky for different screen sizes and I don't really know how to fix it.

Harnessing the awesome power of leaves is harder than it looks. A lot of iterations of leaf shield trying to land on one I liked. Flip side, painting on the alpha channel to give it that little bit of wood texture was very satisfying π€π³
