Hunting for Hasselbecks: Why the Packers draft late-round QBs and who they will target in 2026, Pt. 2 The Packers used to regularly draft QBs in the late rounds, uncovering gems like Matt Hasselbeck and flipping them in trades. GM Brian Gutekunst wants to revive that practice.

That list did not include Behren Morton, who hadn't yet completed enough testing for an athletic profile. He has now done so and just had a pre-draft visit to Green Bay, per @tspoon62.bsky.social. Morton now qualifies for Hunting for Hasselbecks.

Sean Mannion wanted to bring Mahaffey to Philly and Green Bay allowed him to leave.

The team could have blocked the promotion but didn’t.
