I’m about to be gone from school for 2 weeks (conference then staying for vacation). Getting sub plans written for that long on top of all the prep I’ve had to do for my presentations has about killed me this week. 😭 but I leave Tom at 8am and I’m excited!

I will say, there’s a very high likelihood that the story gets a part 2. I planned it as a 3 part fic, but wrote it with the thought I may not ever write part 2 or 3 if there isn’t interest.

Good afternoon #HeartSky In trying to go to the gym more often (a struggle because I've been experiencing bad back/knee pain)... I have started a HS rewatch. Only rule is that I can only watch at the gym. We'll see how I fare. Today I was able to walk 4.5 miles and watch 3 episodes 🥳 #HeartSky

Didn’t read that one but there’s another massive fic that I got 50 chapters into and realized there was still so much to go and had to stop because the plot I’d come for had been resolved ages ago and the fic was just repeating itself. See it happen in every fandom, especially if a fic is popular /🧵

I’ve learned long ago that there are too many good fics out there, if I’m not vibing with one, if it’s not holding my attention, I just move on no matter how many comments it has. I write longer fic so I don’t tend to comment on length but 1mil words is too much for me… 🧵/1

I hear you. This chapter is nearly 10k & I'm debating the merits of cutting it into 2 chapters versus trimming 2k. But I'm going back and forth on which will be a better solution for the story. There's not a balanced placed to cut but I also feel like cutting 2k will be tough. I hate all options 😫

I was stressing about getting the final chapter up, but I'm letting that go. For one, there have been so many other fics updating today, my inbox hasn't stopped lighting up - so fandom is well fed. Two- this is the final chapter of the fic. I'm sure people would rather wait for it to be perfect...

I'm almost done with the first draft of this final chapter. It's the ROUGHEST of rough drafts. Currently my biggest battles are 1) how long is TOO long? and 2) why can't my brain think of any more creative descriptions? I have so many of the same descriptions highlighted for me to revise later.
