The break will hopefully allow some players to get fit. But yeah, in general, prefer to get straight back on the horse.

Do you think we will benefit from the international break to regroup, or would it have been better to play straight away? #arsecastextra
Only just discovered this beautiful piece. It's very reminiscent of my experience of both my mum and dad's last days, interwoven (albeit 12 years apart). I hope this helped you grieve. They're never truly gone, they live on through us, their things (inc tyre gauges) and importantly, their sayings.
When I interviewed Spinal Tap and Marty DiBergi this summer, none of them broke character, for the whole hour. Except Rob Reiner, once, losing it when Michael McKean's David St Hubbins talked about minimalism. I didn't use this in the feature and hadn't published any audio, but this is joyful.
Punching down. All the way down.
People who write about politics had their brains properly broken by the madness of the latter days of the various Tory governments, and now are addicted to writing about gossip and conjecture. And it's not helping the already low-quality information landscape we live in.
The next election is FOUR YEARS AWAY. Can you all just shut up for now about what the next parliament might look like, for the love of God?
It shouldn't be up to Billy Vigar's family to sue someone for clubs to finally do something about this. It shouldn't need someone to bloody die.
The FA doing a review now is horses and barn doors territory, yet here we are.
Totally agree on Havertz/Gyokeres' role.
The richest man on earth owns X.
The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.
The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.
See the problem here?
The way I saw it, Havertz was to play the big games, Gyokeres on rotation against mid-lower table opposition. A flat track bully, if you will. Which will still hopefully happen from Nov onwards.
"If you've had enough of politicians, if you don't trust Westminster, join us."
What a revolting, cynical statement for a man who was an MP of the party that ruled for 14 years until five minutes ago - and David Cameron's speech writer before that.
What contempt for voters. ~AA
Jimi at his finest imo.
Dorries defecting to Reform not long after it was speculated Farage might get to appoint some Lords? Surely a coincidence.
“You know what they call the Hunger Games in France?”
“They don’t call them the hunger games”
“No man, they got the welfare state, they don’t know what the hunger games are”
“What do they call them?”
“Battle Royale With Cheese”
Or both, most likely.
"2 Jabs". Funny as.
Fortunately Scandinavians on the move in the Northern England hasn’t led to any problems, historically
Excellent work.
I'm sad to say that since leaving Twitter/X my sales for live shows have dropped quite a lot - it turns out that even though it's a dreadful place it was still useful for getting the word out about events. So any shares / RTs of my posts about live shows are hugely appreciated!
Excellent work

I think Havertz will still be 1st choice in big games, but will hopefully see more rotation.
A flat track bully is exactly what we need. Someone who can come on for 25/30 mins against tiring legs and start the odd game against tue bottom 6 etc.
This is Mako. He has no regard for law and order, and more importantly, no regrets. 13/10
People think money has ruined football but the sight of a rapist dictator standing next to a corrupt football official in front of a big gold trophy at a competition bankrolled by Saudi Arabia reminds me the game still belongs to us.

Absolutely bang on. Well said.
