Very happy to announce the Home of Medicine has a new home, as an @rcpedin.bsky.social podcast!

As usual, each episode is an interesting case from the medical take, where we work through to get the diagnosis (or not!), focusing on clinical reasoning

A Challenging Consultation - Fatigue Podcast Episode · Home of Medicine with Dr Amie Burbridge and Dr Ben Lovell · 20/01/2025 · 36m

🚨 New episode!
This is an unusual episode which I didn’t find easy to record. Instead of the working through the clinical story towards a diagnosis, I am asking: what would you do in this situation?
What should I have done?

Interesting paper.

What interventions *actually* make a difference in improving working lives for resident doctors?

Intrigued by below excerpt: reducing hours does not seem to affect well-being/burnout. This isn’t enough.

On Christmas Day, I will be snuggled up on the sofa watching TV my pyjamas, but the resident doctors in Acute Medicine will be working hard by day and by night to treat patients and keep them safe.

Hopefully opening a little pressie on Christmas day at work is a tiny token of our appreciation 🎅
