Off to see Operation Mincemeat for the third time. Unlikely to be the last!
Hallo! I have finally got my bum in gear and posted the next upcoming One Team Gov meetups, both in-person (London) and virtual, if you want to sign up you can do so on the link below and please RT! www.linkedin.com/posts/onetea...
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Wildly curious about what ad you’re looking at.
I got 0.0135 even though the random text was stressing me out. Is that good?
Can’t help wondering if anyone is actually going to apply for something this baffling
This is the way. I don’t want to read up on the rules!
I think they actually mean: from March, you can only bring one small carry-on item for free. You can either check in a bag that’s 10kg or smaller, or pay to carry it on. (Or maybe it has to be 10kg. Who can tell.)
Bags. 7kg bag. Small personal carry-on item. From March, customers will need to purchase a 10 kg carry-on bag or check it in for free.
Very confusing content from Aer Lingus. To get on the plane you apparently need to either buy a new 10kg bag (can’t just bring an existing one, you ‘need to purchase’) or check in a 10kg bag (but without having to buy it first). Great. That’s really clear then.
I need this book in my life
Started my first ‘head of’ role this week, specifically acting head of user-centred design.
This has seemingly made my cat even more determined to chew through my headphones.
In 2026 we are reinstating the regular One Team Gov breakfast club in London and also running a virtual one for anybody who doesn't have a meetup near them.
If you're interested you can sign up for both using the link (and please retweet/skeet!)

Sounds both satisfying and useful!
Did me the world of good to do such absorbing physical things, even if I do have scalpel blisters now.
I’ve had a super creative, screen-free weekend. Tried musical improv for the first time and loved it, and made a papercut lightbox at a workshop a friend booked as a birthday present. I have terrible handwriting, so it was a pleasant surprise to find I am not so terrible with a scalpel.
You were much missed!
Wasn’t it just!
Found out about the AWS outage via the catflap, of all things.
(We have the fancy one where you can set lock/unlock times and find out when they go in and out)

This was the first deadly attack on a British synagogue in hundreds of years, but it was not the first attack. Antisemitism is nothing new but it has soared in recent years. And we are told that it is fake, and that it is our fault: www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater...
