probably the hardest part of this piece was drawing Axel's hatchets
my ass had to find two hammers in my garage and try my hardest to replicate the pose i had in mind
there's definitely some bits i got lazy with, but for my first time, i think it turned out kinda nice overall!!

something i find to be a crazy coincidence is that when i was sketching out Axel's face, i didn't even realize that it was the exact same pose as one of the frames in the Axe to Grind trailer
when i found that out, it made drawing his face a HELL of a lot easier for me (thank you stradomyre)

i literally never draw guns, but surprisingly drawing a revolver for Mumba wasn't quite as big of a hurdle as i thought it'd be
definitely could've added some more details and the sorts to this, but i'm nonetheless still proud of how it turned out

the mom tattoo on Axel's shoulder was a sort of last minute addition
i had been on and off about adding it, but i wasn't all too sure until i asked my friends when i was almost done about the idea, and they were very quick to say yes to it
so i did, and i'm honestly pretty glad i did

there's a lot i like about this piece, but if i were to pick a few, it'd have to be how cordelia and the background turned out
i have absolutely no idea how i pulled either of them off, but i did, and i'm in love with how they turned out

as seen in the sketch, i was originally thinking of making a sort of comic book or video game case style piece, but i was struggling pulling it off well in the final product, so i stay a little safe, i decided to scrap it and keep it the way it was
this version is still just as cool to me

abstract painting with some plentiful shades of shades of yellow and gold wrapping around a pile of purple and pink and blue colors there's a lot of shapes and lines and symbols scattered throughout the piece, with the most prominent part of the drawing being a very strange and abstract gold-white flower with 8 line like petals on its head
realized that i never actually posted this kinda wacky piece i made a few weeks ago
i actually painted this the entire time i was listening to chromakopia, adding different colors onto the canvas depending on the emotions i was feeling in the moment
definitely recommend giving it a shot
