For people who think that AIs aren’t really reasoning, don’t really understand things, or can’t really think, what do you mean?

I think rationalists on average might be about as embodied and emotional as your average person

Which admittedly is not that much. And plenty of rationalists who are at the tails as well. I think people are comparing to groups with unusually high levels of emotional perception / expression

I think part of the reason people don't like (and why I didn't at first) is that it's more ambitious than Facebook seems to be. But I still think it's a better name for a company that wants to be the virtual reality intermediary. A bit supervillain, yes...
