...and be a good bridge between the franchise and the city, I dont get how this isnt a positive.

I said players seem to want to STAY here. Always felt like Olshey complaining about FAs never want to come here was disingenuous and defeatist. Whitsitt was the same. Players don't like the taxes, and how white it is, which I understand the trepidation, but if you run a first class organization...

Huh? He lives here, his family never left, and he came back.

If we end up losing a good, young coach because of sub-prime Dundon...😡

You write this as a joke, but i sat here for a moment contemplating whether or not this was a real quote.

Players always seems to want to stay here. From the 90s, Kersey, Duck, Porter, Cliffy all stayed here. Brian Grant, and Frye lived here for awhile, Turner seems to love it here. Players stick around! This should be a selling point.

I remember when George H.W. Bush called Portland Little Beirut. 😆

Well yeah, I absolutely was bummed to hear about the shirts (even though im not going to the games) especially after seeing what the Spurs did for game 1.

Yeah, just making a point about the health of players. My point wasnt the t-shirts. No players will want to be here if they aren't taken care of.

Not sending two-ways to the playoffs doesn’t seem like a big deal on the surface but that’s the kind of thing that will make agents tell their guys not to sign with a team or steer draft prospects away from working out there.

The Tidee Didee police

Tidee Didee delivers to a family in my neighborhood, and their delivery vehicle is clearly an old police car, with the whimsical looking "tidee-didee" type face plastered to the side. The juxtaposition makes me laugh, every time.

The thing is, its so easy for the fans here to be on your side. We want to be on your side. We regard Steve Blake as a god. I mean, come on!

Fuck Dondun for tainting what should be an exciting time for the Blazers.

Penny pinching the health and training staff is absurd. Cut shirts? Fine I guess, it wont effect the players health, but when the coach is stressed about his best players getting the care they need to play effectively is insane.

Im not sure he wants to move the team, I dont know where they'd go, but he clearly thinks he can cookie cutter his approach to the Hurricanes here and he very much can't. Hopefully he is smart enough or he can settle his ego enough to pivot away from that, but I dont have faith.

Tom Dundon Applies His Chintzy Tactics To The Trail Blazers | Defector At the end of March, the NBA approved the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group of investors led by Dallas billionaire Tom Dundon, at a valuation of about $4.25 billion. On paper, Dundon, who…

Players don’t want to live in OKC but all you ever hear from guys once they get there is how well they’re treated and how professional the org is. When you’re a non-glamour market like that (or Portland) you have to win on that stuff to even have a chance at keeping players.

He isnt gonna win if he low balls everyone and pisses off all of the players and agents and such. Hopefully he can learn that the NBA requires a different approach.
