Sharing this call to action from the People's Port Authority.
This facility has had multiple fires over the past several years
sending thick black smoke across South Providence and Washington Park. Residents should not have to live with repeated emergency incidents. No sacrifice zones!
Thank you for always being so supportive
Yesterday, I attended the Clean Energy is Affordable Energy press conference along with leaders in the labor, environment, and local energy developer communities to speak against the governor’s proposed cuts to energy efficiency & clean energy.
Clean Energy is AFFORDABLE Energy - if you're around please come out to the state house library on Wed. Feb 11th at 3pm!
How lucky are we?
Bob Walsh is one of the smartest and fairest people I know. I often call Bob with a crazy idea and he tells me why it can work or why it can't and what I need to do. He never stops teaching or advocating and I couldn't be more grateful.
Here’s one of the campaigns I’ll be working on this year, it’s high time we get these chemicals out of products that aren’t safe.
You’re far braver than I am, enjoy!
Friends, please consider helping my friend Juliana, who is running in the Boston marathon this spring. She hasn’t run since 2013 and we all know how that went. Her son Tiago, had open heart surgery so she’s fundraising for Boston Children’s Hospital. secure.childrenshospital.org/site/TR/Acti...
No lies detected.
Ticket sales are still open and you don’t have to wait in a queue to secure them, don’t forget to grab them this weekend. Or you’ll be left wishing you were in the getaway car.

Love democracy? Us too. We're building capacity to fight for a nationwide pro-environment majority in 2026, and Electoberfest is the kick-off.
Join us October 6th at the Guild in Pawtucket!
Some tickets still available:

If you haven’t, grab your tickets today! We have a special guest this year for emcee and you won’t want to miss it!
We love working with our union friends and are thrilled to see job security for our RI friends!
Finally. It's absurd that the Trump admin was trying to kick Rhode Island workers off the job in order to keep Rhode Island families hooked on out-of-state fossil fuels. New England workers are building the future.
Today would not have been possible without the survivors and advocates, I am incredibly thankful to have been able to meet @ferrellzabala.bsky.social and hear her speak with conviction and passion. I am thankful to be on the board of the RI Coalition Against Gun Violence where we lift people up.
@jedthorp.bsky.social and I teamed up for this op-ed www.providencejournal.com/story/opinio...
It’s well known people want this bill to pass, they are tired of seeing the litter and they are concerned about the amount of microplastics in the bay. Let’s do something before it’s too late!
I'm so glad that the RI Senate has passed the important legislation to ban (eventually) dangerous poisons that are harming birds and pets but not doing a great job controlling rats (or else there wouldn't be so many!) Baton taken, let's pass this RI House! www.providencejournal.com/story/news/p...
🚨 After years of advocacy, the RI House Judiciary Committee just passed an assault weapons ban.
This is a major step to keep people safe from senseless gun violence. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard for so long to make today’s win possible.
My most recent op-ed in the Warwick Beacon: warwickonline.com/stories/make...
It’s time to do something.
“I’ve heard of a do nothing congress and now I’m seeing one!”
Great remarks by @magaziner.house.gov I’m proud he’s my congressman and when I see him in district I’ll thank him for leadership and steadfastness.
Such fun times for us Americans.
Love that for my 2 kids with severe asthma and my toddler who spent time in the NICU.
@ferrellzabala.bsky.social thank you for sharing my quote!!
“The work and prayers of centuries have brought us to this day. What shall our legacy be? What will our children say? Let me know in my heart when my days are through. America, America, I gave my best to you.”
he’s given us his best and now we need to do the same.
Great op-ed out yesterday by CARI member Christian Roselund @roselund.bsky.social on the importance of offshore wind in building year-round energy price stability. Check it out here!
