Sharing this call to action from the People's Port Authority.
This facility has had multiple fires over the past several years
sending thick black smoke across South Providence and Washington Park. Residents should not have to live with repeated emergency incidents. No sacrifice zones!

How lucky are we?
Bob Walsh is one of the smartest and fairest people I know. I often call Bob with a crazy idea and he tells me why it can work or why it can't and what I need to do. He never stops teaching or advocating and I couldn't be more grateful.

Here’s one of the campaigns I’ll be working on this year, it’s high time we get these chemicals out of products that aren’t safe.

MFM - Boston Marathon 2026: Support me fundraising for Boston Children's Hospital I've joined the Miles for Miracles team because I am passionate about helping kids at Boston Children’s Hospital find lifesaving care, and give families hope. Will you help me reach my fundraising goal with a donation today?

Friends, please consider helping my friend Juliana, who is running in the Boston marathon this spring. She hasn’t run since 2013 and we all know how that went. Her son Tiago, had open heart surgery so she’s fundraising for Boston Children’s Hospital. secure.childrenshospital.org/site/TR/Acti...

Finally. It's absurd that the Trump admin was trying to kick Rhode Island workers off the job in order to keep Rhode Island families hooked on out-of-state fossil fuels. New England workers are building the future.

Today would not have been possible without the survivors and advocates, I am incredibly thankful to have been able to meet @ferrellzabala.bsky.social and hear her speak with conviction and passion. I am thankful to be on the board of the RI Coalition Against Gun Violence where we lift people up.

It's time our legislators bring the bottle bill to a vote | Opinion The authors say not only is the bottle bill good policy for RI, it is the right thing to do for the environment.

@jedthorp.bsky.social and I teamed up for this op-ed www.providencejournal.com/story/opinio...

It’s well known people want this bill to pass, they are tired of seeing the litter and they are concerned about the amount of microplastics in the bay. Let’s do something before it’s too late!

Rat poisons are killing RI birds of prey. Will the state ban them? Advocates say rodenticides are killing birds of prey, but the pest control lobby says a ban would make dealing with rodents more expensive.

I'm so glad that the RI Senate has passed the important legislation to ban (eventually) dangerous poisons that are harming birds and pets but not doing a great job controlling rats (or else there wouldn't be so many!) Baton taken, let's pass this RI House! www.providencejournal.com/story/news/p...

Rhode Island House committee passes assault-style weapons ban bill It's a big day in the Rhode Island House, the Judiciary Committee will vote on whether to move the assault weapons ban bill to the House floor.

🚨 After years of advocacy, the RI House Judiciary Committee just passed an assault weapons ban.

This is a major step to keep people safe from senseless gun violence. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard for so long to make today’s win possible.

RI must diversify its energy sources to solve electric bill woes | Opinion The main driver of high power prices in Rhode Island is our dependence on a constrained supply of natural gas.

Great op-ed out yesterday by CARI member Christian Roselund @roselund.bsky.social on the importance of offshore wind in building year-round energy price stability. Check it out here!
