Hard-pressed households need support. 💶📈
While Gov placate limited sectoral interests, where are the supports for PAYE workers?
Today in the Dáil I called on the Gov to:
💶 Introduce targeted energy credits.
🧑🏭 Support pay rises for workers.
🌍️ Invest in the renewables to insulate our economy.

Her activism for peace and neutrality is inspiring.

Across 2 emergency packages from Government, PAYE workers have been left high and dry.
The reality is stark: people do not know how they are going to pay their bills.
Over 320,000 households are in electricity arrears
Workers cannot be left behind as Government placates sectoral interests.

"Families and workers are under sustained pressure. Labour has set out fully costed proposals for targeted, income-linked energy credits to support those most exposed. Government must act now."

Labour will vote no confidence in the Govt
It's about energy bills and fuel, yes.
But it's also about exorbitant rents and mortgage costs, about house prices, childcare, education and healthcare costs, waiting lists and more.
It's an out of touch, conservative coalition we have no confidence in.

On Wed morning, we called on Gov to engage urgently then with representative organisations & for an end to the blockades.
The Gov must do more to address rising costs in this #Energy & #CostOfLiving crisis.
As protests continue into 5th day & talks resume today, Gov must resolve this & urgently ensure an end to the crisis.
Blockades must be lifted immediately as we have said - increasing disruption being caused to families & communities already struggling in a #CostOfLivingCrisis

There is a growing vacuum in leadership on migration, which is being filled by misinformation and fear.
Labour have launched the Together We Thrive campaign to reset the public discourse, recognise the contribution of migrants and call for a more inclusive conversation.
