And in the UK, with the biggest divide between rich and poor in Western Europe, wealth and income inequality have for decades continued to rise under both Labour and Tory Westminster governments.

This is a huge worry #disinformation So many people take their daily news from social media, expecting it to be the truth. It influences their decisions. Make-up, no big deal. Politics and government, massive deal. I despair for the human race. Revolution is coming

Get a dog. No excuse for not going walkies. Rain or shine. Observe the changing seasons. Never a cloud alike. Outdoors.

A really excellent article written so us laypeople can understand. I will be long gone by the time the sun and earth say goodbye but I send my thanks now for all their hard work. And sorry us humans have completely screwed earth.

If you still have a Twitter or threads account, start encouraging more people to join Blue Sky, especially if you are European. Twitter (X) is being used to manipulate elections globally and suppress information.

Post at least once a day, encouraging others to join. #bluesky

UK's food bank crisis is violating our basic human rights Food banks are a violation of our human right to food on an unprecedented scale. Hunger should spark outrage, writes Just Fair’s Alex Firth.

Hunger is a violation of basic human rights – we should be outraged by UK's food bank crisis.

Work doesn't pay. 38% of universal credit claimants are at work.

1% has more wealth than 70% of the population combined.

Must redistribute income/wealth. Tax the rich.

Another mind blowing fact. I can’t get over that some folks have lived without the use of the word ‘whinge’. It is such an excellent word, you can make it sound like it means
Whiiiinnnnggggeeeee.

How have I gone all my life without knowing about this? Fascinating historical fact but oh what joy I could have with the phrase “Bog Butter”.
You are nothing but a big bog butter etc etc
Reminds me of a Reddit convo about ass butter. Upchuck my lunch

'Refused service again with my guide dog, I'm done speaking out' Sean Dilley is inundated with abuse on social media whenever he posts about discrimination issues.

This is both sad and infuriating.

That was a lie, my final splurge is to say cheerio. I’m off for a snooze. Goodness knows when I’ll return. On previous evidence it may be months…..

Listen, I phoned the bank to ask why I hadn’t got my new bank card as it expired at end of month. Cue confused agent. It expires end of month NEXT YEAR! I had got a bit ahead of myself. That tells you everything about my attention 😂

Final splurge of the day. A very important principle for me - equality. Too much #inequality now globally. It seeps into every realm of life. From wealth to health. Too much with too few. I despair for humankind but we are the biggest bunch of assholes at times

Glad though that the horizon is sunnier for you. A friend lives half Germany/half UK. I don’t remember my O grade German. But possibly some profanities 😂 Good luck with the console. Nothing like immersion in a virtual gaming adventure

I’m so sorry to hear about Smudge. Your dog’s your bud, your wee pal. When they go, it’s so quiet. And the strangest things remind you, the end of the yoghurt carton, a stray bit of carrot.

Libraries should be prescribed when you don’t feel well. Libraries kept me going when I was very poorly. Walk to library, browse books, get inspired. Pick book. Go home, read. Get absorbed in a good book and problems disappear for a moment.

I must share this excellent reply to my post. (Thank you Andy) It is indeed very lonely sometimes when people can’t see your illness. Read up on Ren folks, but give him a listen too

Ren, he’s excellent. His struggles with Lyme are awful. So difficult when symptoms are invisible but life altering. I’ve got worn out with symptoms & infections but no actual cause or diagnosis or even relief
