I thought just four was few enough not to get another ban.

Thanks Robyn. I've decided that I should probably edit more photos of the behaviour as people seem to have found it interesting.
There's a (PBS?) documentary about her and how her work was discovered. If I recall correctly there was a lot of unprocessed film.
Thank you.
My attitude is that if I'm not getting penalised I'm not trying hard enough. ๐
Thank you for the repost and comment
Eurasian Oystercatchers doing what Eurasian Oystercatchers do in spring for #TwosDay.
Photographed on the North Wales coast at Point of Ayr on #Kodachrome in the #1990s.

In that case I've probably got at least part of the alphabet between Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese.
Thank you @luiscordoba.bsky.social
Today's alternative #BirdOfTheDay theme is #WhatTheFlock (although I keep thinking that it's #ForFlocksSake). A small charm of Eurasian Goldfinches in a south #Cheshire orchard.

Because the black bears don't bother trying to be quiet.
Yes, there's a few old markers where the tree is growing over it.
Sidelit old campsite marker for #TextureTuesday
Part of my #GettingBackToBasics project made with a 12 year old camera and an old manual focus short telephoto.

Thanks Jason. A recent walk looking for interesting details.
Thanks Jason. In truth posted to make a point about bird behaviour and "discoveries" by naturalists.
Thanks Jason, it's one of the first photos that came to mind for #WeekPForPurple
Taken on a recent walk.
Thanks Jason. The type of image I'm used to look for during autumn migration in Saskatchewan.

Thanks Alan. I didn't want to risk a ban by posting 3 thousand or more. ๐คฃ
As far as I could tell they weren't affected by the active ingredients.
I'm happy you liked the photo
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
Indeed, and something that has only just occurred to me is that the image made it through to the final round of judging in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. So it had been seen by quite a few people decades before the "newly observed behaviour" was recorded.
Thank you. It was a memorable morning. The only time I have seen a sailboat moored at that location.
More amused by American arrogance than angry. The naturalist was using an American bird photographer to help research the behaviour. They wouldn't even message me directly, what little communication there was was via the bird photographer.
Today's alternative #BirdOfTheDay theme is #WhatTheFlock. A flock of Sandhill Cranes at dusk during autumn migration in #Saskatchewan, Canada.

Thanks Alan. Posted because it annoyed me that my observations were regarded as irrelevant when someone was proposing writing a paper on newly observed behaviour.
