Not Magic related but I got a peloton bike this week and oh man is this thing a game changer for home exercise. Classes are convenient and highly specific for what you are looking for. Just hit a week straight after getting it on Monday.

3-1 in the Sunday PTQ to clarify

Finished PT Final Fantasy 3-5 after 0-3ing draft. Drafting at the pro tour is a completely different animal. Went 3-2 in constructed and then 3-1 with a slightly modified version of @pg8.bsky.social ‘s prowess list (shout out to Paul for the wild rides!). Over all really fun weekend!

Registered UR Vivi Prowess for PT Final Fantasy. Huge shoutout to my teammates for helping with the list, mapping, and getting me used to playing the deck proficiently. Excited to play more UR in a high level event

Won a team trios event with my friends Bradley Brown and Tilford Li today in unified modern. We played Boros-Eldrazi-belcher as our lineup. Super fun event and the ccg guys have been killing it with TOing recently. I played Eldrazi cuz it’s broken when only 1/3 of your opponent could consign you max

Finished second in the MXP invitational and finished 7-6 in the MXP Santa Clara 20k Open after starting 6-2 with Boros Energy. Overall I feel like my play lacked a lot on Day2 of the open and in the finals of the invitational. Overall I’m very happy with this list, just need to improve my play.

For sure, makes sense. I have played like 5 leagues and 3 locals with sam post Portland, I enjoy the deck and chord piles generally a lot. I just am convinced breach is so broken that no deck truly has a good matchup haha. Crystal barricade is nice tech

Not going to Charlotte makes it very hard to feel motivated to play magic locally recently. While I have had stints of not playing in the past it was due to not having fun and not a lack of motivation to play. It’s a very strange feeling.

I think this is probably true for closed decklist but I would be a little hesitant to make this conclusion in open decklist. It definitely helps but I would be a little scared of breach still if it’s face up that you can tutor for it.

“Very long time” aka since August 26th 2024. Also I beat this matchup twice in Portland, do you feel the gearhulk fixes the matchup? If not the breach opponents might just be uninformed on how to play it.
