It's unfortunate that tiktok is moving to the new ownership, because I just got my feed calibrated to be mostly 2010 YouTube style fail and win compilations. I think this could cure my cynicism enough to resurrect my dog and hairline.

A lot of people feel that season two of #sandman is a step down from the first, but honestly I really feel like the changes they've made to the story make it a lot better overall. And I'd feel that way even if the original writer hadn't proved to be a fucking monster.
Honestly, if your favorite book is something that was required as part of a public school curriculum, I don't care about your opinion about anything. The only exception to this rule is 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and even then I need proof you've at least read other things.
Remember, Tolkien was an Englishman of a certain era, social roles/beliefs are also baked into the story too. Sam literally could have carried the ring, but for various thematic and societal reasons he only would have if Frodo literally couldn't anymore
Hobbits are the least dangerous ring bearers because their hearts don't crave power in the ways of men, and they don't wield it like elves. Frodo took on the direct burden because of his innocence and Sam would have picked it up out of duty to Frodo.
Strictly speaking he could have, but the ring doesn't stop corrupting you because it's a few feet away. Having people trade off the most direct effects while still getting secondary stacks all the time just means everyone falls under the effects more quickly from closer exposure being spread.
